Suffering with "Bridge-over-River-Kwai-syndrome" while fading
by OneGenTwoGroups ini've never liked being late for meetings, 10 minutes early has always been 5 minutes late for me.
i'm a very punctual atheist at the meetings still.. when someone asks a simple question from the platform and not one dummy raises their hand, i still feel the need to raise my hand so that we don't all look like idiots.. my shoes still need to be clean and polished, my suits and ties match and are in good shape.
i never wear them anywhere else.. i still feel like saying hello to people that are obviously being ignored by everyone else.. people not singing out still bugs me, lol.

How would the world be different if there were no JWs?
by JW_Rogue ini think this would be a great question to ask active jws.
they love to say how the world would be so different if everyone was a jw.
however, what if we flip the question and ask, would the world really be much different if the jw faith never came into existence?

I conclude evolution is guided
by KateWild inyour qualifications are way above mine so i'd love to hear more about the specifics of what you have researched and how that supports the existence of a deity.
k99, i am not really convinced that you're interested in my conclusions.

Viv's law of nothingness. Seriously Viv believing that one is a great physicist is a common effect of Schizophrenia or at least delusions of grandeur
A delusion of grandeur is the fixed, false belief that one possesses superior qualities such as genius, fame, omnipotence, or wealth. It is most often a symptom of schizophrenia, but can also be a symptom found in psychotic or bipolar disorders, as well as dementia (such as Alzheimer’s).
People with a delusion of grandeur often have the conviction of having some great but unrecognized talent or insight. They may also believe they have made some important discovery that others don’t understand or appreciate.

She does not matter, only you matter. You can not be disfellowshipped or shunned or become an apostate, because these things only exist in their make believe world.

Can baptism be considered a legal verbal agreement?
by StarTrekAngel inbased on the requirements set forth and the questions answered at the end.
i believe this question has been asked before.
the fact that you can only be expelled after having been put under this oath of allegiance and that you have witnesses to you making this agreement ( i remember my name was shout to the crowd when i entered the pool ).. if it can be considered so, would there be a legal ground to say minors can not enter this agreement?.

Crabby, who told you I was in a mental hospital. Just because I am loopy doesn't mean I am not credible xx
I was not speaking about you personally, but about all people who are sure they know how the Universe began, as this can not be known from our position in time and space here on the Earth. One may feel free to speculate, but those of any background who know the truth about everything going all the way back to the beginning of the Universe that we live in can only know this from the perspective of mental disease.
To demonstrate, you can not know what is in my left pocket, but you feel that you know where the atoms that that thing are made up of came from and when they were created at the beginning of time.

Dude there is no way to argue with people who know how the Universe began as they are far more intellectually proficient than the average person. Schizophrenia does that.
