Dude... Seriously...
What's your goal...
jwfacts has an article that explains why the great crowd must be in heaven.
i am also aware that many of these are the same arguments that stemmed from the 'awakenings at bethel' so my statements are not simply attacks of jwfact's character (since these arguments are probably not original) but rather his copy and paste of what others have said instead of verifying it as 'fact' for himself.. so here are jwfacts arguments:.
1. he shows that russell and rutherford (at some point) believed that the great crowd were in heaven.. 2. each term that describes the great crowd of revelation 7 is else used to described the anointed by the wt.

i've seen the insulting obituary and like all of you, i'm blown away.. i've also seen several threads of individuals crying out for an opportunity to meet with others on this board.
maybe it's time to recognize the need for an assembly (if you will) to foster a familial relationship for those on this board!.
what if a memorial were planned, in eric's honor of course, for a weekend next september in north carolina?
My sincerest apologies to the family! I felt the discouragement fading as I read the note from the family.
Looking forward to hearing more details!

thank you shelby , eric deserves to be remembered properly !
i have posted this on my facebook account too ..
It's gorgeous!
In the upper left hand corner, I see this
" This Memorial Website
will remain online until
October 14, 2012"
Doesn't look like it can remain longer for as many to see who need to... :(
Still worth it.
When you ask yourselves...
Do I want to be with someone who MAY have a conditionally love for me and who MAY be with me mostly because I fit an organization's profile?
OR
Do I want to take a chance to love and grow with someone who understands and respects unconditional love and will love and accept me regardless of my affiliations with a particular group or organization?
What responses do you come up with?
good morning friends.
for the first time in my life, i'm a registered voter.
i know who i would like to see become our next president.
As far as going to the polls, when there's a strong possibility that your candidate will probably lose, you vote with the attitude of a Cleveland Brown's fan. Why bother going to the game? (Sorry Cleveland - Steelers fan here) *giggling* On a serious note, sadly, many who are eligible to vote do not see how seriously their lives can be affected by their negligence.
Electors who vote against the popular vote are deemed "Faithless Electors" and while they CAN vote against the popular vote, generally, they do not. In some states there are repercussions for doing so.
Don't worry about things you have no control over. Exercise your right. Your voice is important. :)
Awww.... Out of curiousity, what elements make it hard to date men with no JW background?
i'm divorced and i have a daughter who is nearly 11. last year she watched a video in school covering upcoming body changes (which she already knew about).
but one suggestion they gave that i didn't think of was to go get femine supplies and be prepared for when the time comes.
i like being prepared ahead of time for emergencies.
Sent a PM but maybe this can help others
Advice from a cheap but resourceful mom of a teenager who has not gone through menopause:
All of our bodies are different and have different preferences and ...uh... needs (sometimes we need longer items that get us through the night)
Visit the websites of as many manufacturers of these products as you can find. They'll be GLAD to send samples so your daughter can pick HER favorite. For a girl? It'll be like shopping when that time comes! :)
i know others have posted on the original thread.
several people, including myself, would like to do something concrete to show our concerns re: his treatment by the jw, and how important he was to all of us here.
i suggested a handwritten note, on behalf of the whole community here, flowers, and perhaps a donation to a charity that helps people get back on their feet.
Hmmm.... is there an address for his Kingdom Hall?

Whew... thank you Cuckoo! I sometimes worry about the eye-rolling that may happen when I post given my... uh... worldly opinion. *giggling*
My intent is sincere. :)
Also, would having an event in North Carolina be a heartbreaker for those in NC who still have to "pretend" that they still believe? Will those in attendance be... what's the term.... "marked"? I suspect the only people who could attend would be those who are completely out, huh... I'd hate for people who loved Eric NOT to be able to attend if it would produce some level of anxiety. Should it be in neutral territory? Gosh... where's neutral, huh...
The component that brings the most pain to me is the fact that Eric had to keep those who loved him unconditionally a secret. His virtual relationships did not replace his familial ones. Please realize that I am NOT saying that a stranger will EVER fill the desire to be connected with your biological family, but it'd be nice to have an adopted family in which to find strength. People who are real to you.... not voices on a phone or writings on a thread.
There are elements that I KNOW are outside the boundaries of my understanding, but I have to wonder if, over time, those that are stuck in will eventually say... "I'm outta here! I now have somewhere to go where people will unconditionally accept me!" Right now, are we only going halfway?
I know that this idea is certainly not revolutionary and I realize it's been done before. I'm just hoping it's possible for all of the Eric's out here. If it saves someone, it'd be worth it.

I'm with you Band!
I really want to do something positive to show that he was loved.
