  Empower Network is definitely a scam

  has anyone encountered this empower network get-rich-blogging pyramid scheme circulating on the internet?

  had a friend that was just taken in by it and now am getting marketing pitches from them.

  just wanted you all to know that it is indeed a scam.

  omg... the gullibility.

  With no tangible product, it's a scam. They've both already joined. For $25, I'll leave well enough alone.

  so, my mother in law who is still active went out in service with the group that had the co visit and came back with some very interesting news.

  first off, she knows that we are fading and is ok with it and has some doubts herself.

  anyhow, she said that the co went off track during the meeting before service and mentioned how we are now allowed to receive up to 33% of blood in a transfusion.

  i have just had a very long phone call from a wonderful sounding person ( jw).

  she has tried to post on here(simon or angie please read this ).

  she called herself bootlicker...why cant she get on.. come on kids tell grannie .

  I MAY have the answer... don't know.

  I tried to use my AOL account to sign up. I have 2 aol accounts and tried repeatedly for DAYS to no avail. Waited very patiently for my e-mail confirmation and never got it.

  One day I took a shot and used my gmail account and it went through with no problems whatsoever. Got a confirmation e-mail and all!

  Try a different e-mail carrier maybe???

  TheRedeemer: This could be perfect timing. A very good friend of mine is a JW. I have been exposing him to the history of his organization and some of what I'm saying is starting to penetrate. We've been looking at the evolution of the vaccination policy from the 20's to today with respect to the loss of life. He's VERY bothered. I have mentioned the evolution of the organ transplant doctrine and told him the language was very similar. Both went from cannibalism to a matter of Christian conscience.

  Having seen his suicide bracelet in a previous hospital visit, I'm moving into the evolution of the blood doctrine. I would love to *use* this, but I don't want to become a false prophet.

  Please tell me your MIL is not 102 years old and talking to imaginary friends... please?

  Have You Prepared For The "Flu" And Do You Get A Flu Shot?

  i try to keep my hands clean regularly and stay away from areas and people that i know are sick.. i have never gotten a flu shot and i do know that many that do get one, get the flu anyway.. still, the flu is considered very very bad this year..

  I made a terrible non-jw error.

  My jw friend was pressuring me to get my shot (which I have no aversion to). I believed it to be a teachable moment for WT quotes of concern and now he is considering not getting one ever again. If this man dies of the flu, can I just tell you how I will feel?

  In the 20s it was barbaric... Currently its a matter of conscience.

  They're unable to make the same outrageous claims they have in the past now that the articles are in Satan's view (the internet). Within 24 hours of publishing, an interested party can retrieve a full commentary on the spiritual vomit that the WT posted and the commentary ends up being more exciting than the article.

  I have to wonder if this was a contributing reason for the reduction in pages/larger margins/larger font/reduction in substance (meat). Their writers have to feel like they're in a corner.
