Just like all religions. Nothing special about them. But there are two categories.
The ones that have been deceived and the ones that were not. Not sure where the founders and subsequent leaders are placed.
yes those are the undeniable facts regarding this religious organization.. these men took the return of christ as a commercial commodity and sold that to the public through the literature they published.
the doctrines they used (c t russell, j rutherford ) to accomplish this feat wasn't actually their own, they were plagiarized by other turn of the century bible speculators who were selling their own pieces of literature.
the end times, the last days, this generation were all propagated to make the notion that armageddon was coming soon in are life time and this actually started by these charlatans back in the late 1800's.. so there you have it easy to understand and clarified even more as time has progressed.

the jws in my country can't preach to anyone these days and they're going crazy.
i live in romania and initially during the covid-19 lockdown they were very enthusiastic about preaching.
they've since held daily "field service meetings" on zoom.
If the Bible and Prophecy is true.
The scripture at Daniel 12:11 says "And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up, there shall be 1,290 days. 12Blessed is he who waits and arrives at the 1,335 days."
The WT calls the "regular burnt offering" (constant feature). I think it means service (door to door).
The Constant Feature (the witnessing work) has essentially come to a halt in March.
1290 days = 3.5 years (360 day year) – so around August/September 2023.
So is the U.S. election the catalyst that will cause the end of the Anglo-American World Power and the rise of the 8th King. Time will soon tell.
with the shutdown of the public preaching work.
some take it to mean all preaching in all forms.
other take it to mean it only includes door to door and cart witnessing, but you can do phone witnessing.. what is interesting is that depending which country you live in the direction that was given what to do is different.. two countries (malta and ireland) that i know of were told explicitly not to do phone witnessing.

Two countries (Malta and Ireland) that I know of were told explicitly not to do phone witnessing. I believe it has to do with tel-marketing laws and fines associated with it.
So I guess it all comes down to money.
Looks like if the authorities ever wanted to shutdown the preaching work (i.e. Russia), all they ever had to do is fine everyone and the organization, every time someone went out in service.
i am surprised no one has mentioned what is going on in canada.. maybe they have but i missed it.
so here are some of the facts as i know them.
ontario only.. sault st. marie had their six congregations whittled down to two.
LetTheTruthBeKnown: Are you sure they are selling that Aylmer assembly hall? How have you come accross this information?
-----------------------
Sorry can't reveal my sources. I just know the right elders. Some talk too much.
But it is pretty obvious anyways. I have been told that there is only one congregation left in the complex. I will be able to confirm this in the next couple of months when I go to my assembly.
And it is just a very big conference centre. They were offered $25 million years ago. Not sure what they will get for it now.
They will probably look for volunteers to spruce it up. This is your chance to help out again. LOL

One other thing.
Elders are making "Shepherding calls" during service of course since they can count the time. To encourage the "friends" to go where they are assigned.

Well it took awhile to confirm some rumours, but I have now confirmed just about everything.
19 congregations in Eastern Ontario and Gatineau area have been dissolved, moved, merged into other congregations.
The Aylmer Assembly/Kingdom Hall Complex has only one remaining congregation. To be taken care of shortly. But probably not until the below, as someone has to take care of the building.
The Aylmer Assembly/Kingdom Hall Complex will be put up for sale. Time frame unknown, but they probably have to do some renovations first. I wonder who will volunteer for that? Lol.
It's definitely on a premium piece of property. Right on the Ottawa river.
The Long Island Hall is also going to be put up for sale. Time frame unknown at the moment.
My feeling is the demographics are changing. The baby boomers are dieing off, and the massive growth from the 1960/70/80's is done, with people leaving and no one getting baptized. Give it enough time and eventually it will be just the original congregation - Gladstone.

I heard there were a couple of congregations that were closed in the Gatineau Assembly/Kingdom Hall.
The rumor going around right now, is that it will be put up for sale and everyone will have to go to the Montreal Assembly Hall. If they do sell it, they will need to build a couple of KH's.
They were going to sell it years ago, but they figured at the time the backlash would have been too great. As it was still mostly new and to many people gave of time and money to it. Seems everything has changed now. Go figure.
not my research but summarized to be very brief.. there appears to be a 309.6 religious cycle.
while not exact it seems to conform to around these dates.
in the cycles there are peaks and troughs - turning points to something new..

Maybe they have but I missed it. So here are some of the facts as I know them. Ontario Only.
Sault St. Marie had their six congregations whittled down to two. All their Kingdom Halls were sold or is up for sell and a new bigger was built. From what I have heard it was more people moving away that caused this. Probably no work.
Major re-org of all territories in Ontario.
In Eastern Ontario the following congregations are gone. May be more, but this is what I know so far.
Ingleside (Hall to be sold)
Gananoque (Lansdowne)
Cornwall (French) – to be sent to English congregation.
Meadowlands (Ottawa) – Thorn in the side of the WT forever. It has now been taken care of. LOL.
Blossom Park (Ottawa)
Some publishers who used to drive 10 minutes to their Hall, now have to drive 30 – 45 minutes. Not sure how that will go over.
Cedarhill (Ottawa) has now 187 publishers. Wow!!!
Rideau (Ottawa) has 140 publishers.
We used to split at about 120 publishers.
There are really no Kingdom Halls to sell in Ottawa as they were sold years back to build the Assembly/Kingdom Hall building. They were offered 25 million for it years back. Not sure how much they can get for it now, as there is a lot of mold.
They were going to renovate an old Post Office in Vanier (Ottawa) to make a very big Hall, but after taking all the donations and money, they shelved the project. Works every time.
My feeling is that the demographics are changing and even though the rejigging has caused some congregations to be bursting at the seams, in time they will just get smaller. Of course all of these changes are moot if someone does not want to drive 30 minutes, and they go where they want.
i don't know what i am talking about... read this post at your peril.
back in the 1960s there was, seemingly, a brief period of relaxation in authoritarianism among jehovah's witnesses.
those who have read raymond franz's 'crisis of conscience' will have heard the story about dan sydlik's remark about the need to 'open some windows to let some air in here'.
