I looked up the offense, it seems to have happened back in the 90's though - maybe he wasn't a JW back then when it happened? Or if so.. Don't you think he would have been forbidden to knock on doors being that a child would answer? Or he would just stick to phone witnessing?
I saw that was well the guy covers his hears so as not to hear the potential apostate lies that Satan's system is dispersing about his fellow brother.. Wow

Hidden message in JW bunker video?
by Dunedain inso, i was speaking with a relative recently, who is "in" the borg, but is completely aware of the terrible hypocrisy from the gb down.
he is not in the box, and its great to be able to have a realistic, and logical discussion about the current state of the org.. we started discussing, specifically, about that bunker video that was released in december.
how it is being played at all the conventions.

I agree with you Dunedain, the org LOVES to instill fear into its members, it's a form of mind control! I remember the conventions used to talk about when Tribulation/Armageddon arrives, but they never gave you any more information- the next talk would be something about loving your neighbors. And I remember thinking, "AND???" I believe this is the first convention program to actually have a video depicting the moment when JW's are supposed to choose to follow mans orders or follow Jehovahs ( I mean Governing Body's' ) orders. Back down, comply with the government, or stick with us and potentially get killed, OH but you'll be resurrected so no worries. It's all brainwashing, instilling FEAR into everyone watching. Like you said, maybe it will help ex: the teenage kid who could care less to stop walking around the convention hall talking to his friends and checking out girls during the program to snap into shape. It's ridiculous and stupid.. I bet after the video was over, everyone was all quiet and head bobbing to agree, YES I CHOOSE JEHOVAH OVER MAN.
I believe this video depicts tribulation starting.. I bet you they will release a video depicting Armageddon with flying basket ball sized hail falling from the sky, fiery sulfur burning flesh as it falls, vultures eating dead bodies, and machine guns blasting people as they run around. All while the JW's huddle together holding hands smiling LOL!!

I've had enough..
by raven inso last night, after thinking "wow those pesky elders have finally left me alone, maybe since i skipped out on their jc invitation back on august 1st they've given up" wrong.. i go to check the mail and there's an envelope at my front door- lo and behold, another letter from from these elders.. why won't they leave me alone already?
i'll attach a picture of the letter.. again, same letter as the first one inviting me to a judicial committee on august 15th - and signed by all three elders.. should i just continue to ignore?
quite frankly i don't give a rats arse i've been enjoying life free from the mind control of the organization, and i just wish they would drop it and let me live life.. like i mentioned before, i am moving to a new home next week, the only reason these elders have my current address ( which happens to be over 100 miles away from the cong ) is because my mother gave it to them, after i gave it to her in confidence to forward me my mail.. so lets just say she won't be getting my new address... i don't have any contact with ones from this congregation (i'm an ex pioneer, so i'm sure if they've gotten word on what i'm doing, i must be satan himself!

How did things work out after you moved? I think moving homes will definitely help with getting rid of their ability to contact me. I will definitely take your advice on going through the post office to pick up mail.. I would rather have it sent there than even risk the elders getting a hold of where I will be living. Were you able to get off of their radar by doing this?

I've noticed the elders seem to make some of their own rules to add into the existing rules.. I've been treading VERY lightly.. I've came up with a plan- Firstly I've received 2 letters and multiple phone calls & voice messages from them, blocked the phone numbers they were calling me on. I haven't acknowledged their letters, I also haven't told my mother I've received them, at this point I've figured it out, she is their spy in this, working with them ( giving them my address, playing along with the false anonymous tipper allegation to get me to turn myself in, and also she may provide them with info if I tell her I've received 2 letters at my door.. ) I have no plans on contacting these annoying elders. AT ALL. I've moved on with life, their whole point is to get me to confess, repent, leave my boyfriend, and return to the cult.. Nope. I've been living a great life since out, never been happier.. So now, since I am moving next week, this provides the perfect opportunity to disappear off the radar.. Don't you think they'd just give up already?( are you an ex elder? )

INTROVERT2- Too funny, if only I had the courage to actually do that!
DOC- I would consider the multiple phone calls and voicemail's I've received prior to these 2 letters as attempts of contact. So annoying! Have you ever dealt with anything like this?
CRABBY- LOL!!!! Should I also bring a stripper pole with me too?! I bet they'd crap their pants.
JWLEAKS- If it continues to be harassment and they don't stop even with my avoiding them, I will be taking the letters to the police station, and I've also saved the voicemails.. Stalkers..

Plastic Surgery
by raven inhi everyone- i don't have much of an update on my current situation ( refer to previous posts ) august 1st has past, (the day the judicial committee was supposedly held against me- and that i didn't attend, no word on anything as of now, thankfully i am moving to a new home next week which means no more elders sending me spooky jc invite mail!
anyways, i'm getting off the main reason why i'm posting.. so i have tendency to drift off into thought and have discussions with myself, ( i'm not crazy i swear!
) i was thinking today, have we heard any more updates on appearances?

i dated a jw lady for 3 months ., we never had sex, just made out , half naked , well everything except underwear .
she has been a jw for 40 years ., was married to a jw but he committed adultery 13 years ago so they divorced .

Since you two have been intimate.. ( Doesn't matter if you heavily petted half naked, still considered sin in JW land) If she is pulled back in and "comes to her senses" she may go to the elders and confess, if she is repentant then she will cut off contact with you.. - Not saying this will happen but it's a possibility.
If you really do have a strong connection with this woman I would continue talking, bring out points that make her think about this religion. Since she has been in for a good amount of time it may be difficult to show her the real truth the borg. I say keep chatting, see where it goes, but keep guarded for it's difficult to keep a relationship with someone who's on two sides of the fence.
