NikL you are right- It is an old video, however they put it back up in the forefront of their website so many people could just now be seeing it too... He's just casually speaking out about how terrible child abuse is, he doesn't mention though that a vast number of his own followers are pedophiles.

This story gets weirder and weirder each day... Am I not the only one who thinks something seems terribly off? I had read that she had also faked an abduction back in 2006.. Just seems as though an abductor wouldn't just let their victim free after weeks of holding them captive to suposedly repeated beatings, even shaving their head to wander out on the streets? As for the JW reference, I don't think she was one. Maybe like others have noted, just happened to go to the KH to see if anyone was there to help her?

Nicolas King: JW celebrity and example of hypocrisy
by neat blue dog innicolas king frequently sings with the watchtower chorus and had a supporting role in the dvd released at the 2014 convention.
(he's on the bottom row, second from the right.).
but he also is a jazz singer, traveling constantly performing at concerts, casinos, charity events, even a brief appearance on the tonight show.

Good point neat blue dog!! WT full of hypocrisy.. they'll come up with some excuse as to why Nikolas is allowed to peruse his singing and show biz careers.. but maybe he's backed up by WT because he is featured in so many of their videos and songs??

Shunning vs. Silent Treatment
by raven ini was thinking this morning in context with the shunning practice- which we all know is a degrading and abusive routine carried out among all brainwashed jw's to those who have sinned/left the org etc.. so with that in mind, how does shunning differ from the silent treatment to jw's?
both are similar in definition... silent treatment.
: an act of completely ignoring a person or thing by resort to silence especially as a means of expressing contempt or disapproval.shun, shunning: persistently avoid, ignore, or reject (someone or something) through antipathy or caution.based on jw teachings which i stupidly accepted back when i was asleep and under mind control, i didn't give it two thoughts on how both acts are related.. i do remember an article in a wt which spoke of how the silent treatment is a harsh and abusive form of discipline, but then they twist it back and claim that shunning is a loving provision?

YODASTAR-
Great input, your comment is so exact to reality, its so hard to try to rid of these insane doctrines and manipulation the org pushed on us some at a very young age.. I was hearing these things at around 4 years old, so growing up brainwashed I didn't think twice about the org and what/who they really are. Thank goodness we have all woken up to the ttatt, such a twisted demonic group.
STUCKINARUT2-
Wow really? I vaguely remember the cartoon, maybe we can find the link on YouTube? The org is one big bully, they all claim they're full of love but when someone actually starts independently thinking they'll kick on the avoidance.. JW's have this mentality that they're better than everyone, and the org states that haughtiness is a sin in itself.. This whole group is full of contradictions and hypocrisy, so glad to be out.

My Favouite Inappropriate Watchtower Pictures
by pale.emperor ini'd love to see you're favorite wt illustrations/photo's that they think are fine to print - but are actually kind of creepy/wierd.. .
here's my three fave from my book of bible stories (yes, a book for children!)..
man gets his head nailed into the floor with a tent pin by a good jehovah worshipper:.

Very interesting - your interpretation of these pictures.. It's crazy how JW's are so influenced by this artwork but at the same time I do agree with you on how hypocritical every JW is.. No violent comics, books, movies etc... And these pictures depict murder. Ah how ironic. -

FLIPPER-
Hey there my good friend, thank you for replying on this thread post. I always appreciate your thoughts! I 100% agree with you here. WT leaders force beliefs on practices and doctrines that what will benefit them, just blows my mind that people in this cooperation don't see the obvious faults and lies, if this was supposedly "God's Organization" we would not see these under the table deals, hidden child sex abuse, and most of all joe schmo men running the whole show claiming to be the chosen ones.. Ridiculous. As for the shunning & silent treatments, they are totally the same practice but JW's will come up with some sort of justification as to why it's OK to shun/give a silent treatment ( same thing lets be honest ) to someone.. Pernicious. Just don't get why they would give a definition as being good and loving to shunning and evil and harsh to silent treatment.. So so dumb.
Looking forward to hearing more about the album Flip. Tell Mrs. Flipper I said hello!

Silent Treatment. : an act of completely ignoring a person or thing by resort to silence especially as a means of expressing contempt or disapproval.Shun, Shunning: persistently avoid, ignore, or reject (someone or something) through antipathy or caution.
Based on JW teachings which I stupidly accepted back when I was asleep and under mind control, I didn't give it two thoughts on how both acts are related.. I do remember an article in a WT which spoke of how the silent treatment is a harsh and abusive form of discipline, but then they twist it back and claim that shunning is a loving provision? What a bunch of hypocrisy. I've attached a link to the silent treatment article on JW . org https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/g201306/the-silent-treatment/#?insight[search_id]=8db69cee-457d-4f37-89f4-5d73c33b6cff&insight[search_result_index]=0I have grown to hate this organization more and more each day.. Just my 2 cents.
