I'm having a craving for dry crackers and wine
by rebel8 ini'm also in the mood for dressing up in a modest, uncomfortable skirt, half slip and pantyhose underneath.
no knees showing, of course!
i want some shoes to go with it that pinch and cause bunions.. i thought i'd pair it with a button down shirt, buttoned down to the level that covers all cleavage, then 1 more button closed so the bros aren't tempted into having accidental sex interviews with me right on the spot.

Do You Think Trump Is Doing.A Good Job Dealing With The Coronavirus?
by minimus inwho needs a press secretary when the president details what is happening every day to keep us informed?
i think he’s doing a very good job considering what is happening in the usa and the world..

Minimus, you raised a fair question about Trump's handling of the coronavirus, but, then, when posters point out his incompetence, you bring up Hillary as an obvious red herring. Hillary has nothing to do with Trump's mishandling of the coronavirus. Why are you having difficulty thinking logically and staying on subject?
39% of the American electorate are true believers, Trumpites. No amount of evidence will sway them from their support of an obvious incompetent, just as no one could tell us as JWs that our organization was a man-made fraud.
Each "true believer" has to see the "truth" for themselves and can't be persuaded by evidence or logic.

Minimus. You asked if we thought Trump was doing a good job managing the pandemic and we answered. Why are you reverting to a Trump technique of blaming former political rivals?

I give up Minimus. Trump is handling this pandemic perfectly. It's the winey governors who are not being nice to him, asking for too much in equipment and supplies and not supporting his idea to put the country back to work so we can all fill the churches on Easter Sunday.
As Trump himself keeps repeating, the stable genius is doing a great job, the best job in history. Make America Great Again!!! Trump/Pence 2020!!!!! Geez!!!!!!!

No one is saying the virus is Trump's fault. That's a red herring. He's just not handling things particularly well, but that was to be expected from someone who doesn't believe in science, doesn't trust his advisors, refuses to read briefings, etc. He just wasn't qualified to be president and is botching his first calamity. He's in way over his head. He's a failed businessman with a number of bankruptcies, a reality TV wannabe who should never have been elected.

Even allowing for those fooled daily by Fox and Breitbart, Trump dallied as the virus took hold, called it a "Democratic hoax."
This inept administration's lack of coordination and leadership has pitted the individual governor's bidding against FEMA and each other for supplies.
This has been a total mishandle by an inept narcissist whose primary motivation is to get re-elected.
I was born during the Truman presidency and I'm not partisan. This is the first president who actually makes me embarrassed to be an American. I've never witnessed such incompetence.

Former Poster (TMS) Returns During Coronavirus Lockdown
by ReinventedTwice inmy old user account says i joined this forum 19 years ago, an intermittent poster starting 102 topics, the last about 12 years ago.
with my community under a volunteer stay-at-home policy and a mandatory curfew, i took the time to read all of my old posts and the replies, reminding me of how informative and therapeutic this forum was during my jw to ex-jw transition.. in 2018, my life took another turn with the death of my wife of 49-1/2 years after a long illness.
my writing, according to observers, lost its edge and purpose.. i travelled to asia, meeting a beautiful, intelligent woman in cagayan de oro, philippines, 33 years my junior.

One important detail deleted from my post with the formatting of the picture was the encouragement received from posters Hillary_Step and Teejay to pursue writing. Based on that gentle push, I started a blog chronicling politics and government in extreme south Texas about ten years ago that garnered a large readership.
I want to thank those two gentlemen, "brothers," for noticing some redeeming characteristic from my otherwise failed life that could be developed.

thanks oppostate and Pete Zahut. Much of my post was lost but it made little difference. Surviving the cult and taking control of life is the priority.

I travelled to Asia, meeting a beautiful, intelligent woman in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines, 33 years my junior. This fall she immigrated to the U.S. on a fiancee' VISA and is awaiting her Adjustment of Status. We were married October 12, 2019.
This feels like a second reinvention as my JW life fades deeper into the background.
