  The NZ ban is why I would never register my guns. If they know you have it they can force you to give it up. They can not take what they do not know you have. Anyone who wants to put some things away should look at the P80 and the AR15 Ghost guns with a jig. You can buy these and they are not considered a gun until you finish it. Before you finish it, you can sell it our just put it away.   It does cost more to set up with the jigs and if you don't have the tools but in the end you have a total legal and untraceable gun or guns the gov has no idea exist.   Well I am an American and am a NRA life member. I have been shooting and reloading for over 50 years. I can tell you when the left here says 90% of gun owners want this or that its a lie. Most all of the gun people are more to the right than I am. When they say the gun lobby its also a lie. Yes there is a gun lobby but the NRA is me. We gun owners are the NRA.

  We saw how in the 80s the NRA leadership was pussying out and we voted them out. Yes for those who don't know we members vote for our NRA leaders. Not Ruger or S&W or Colt. Us.

  We have a second amendment that will hold up as long as we have a SCOTUS to back it up. If we can get lucky and hit the trifecta and have Ruth Buzzy Ginsberg die already it will be safe for a generation.

  I don't know what the law in in NZ on standard cap mags. I have not found anything stating you can not buy or own any mag over some number. I know the liberals are salivating in their drool bucket at the NZ Ban. They may get it one day but not for at least 2 years and then I don't know if it would hold up in the SCOTUS. But its why we gun people say all the time now is the time to stack em cheap and deep. KCI Glock 15 and 17 round mags 7.50 at lucky gunner, 30 round magpul 9.99 for the AR15 at SGammo. Ammo is real cheap right now. One should have at least 5000 rounds for each caliber they shoot put up for the Zombie apocalypse. And a few extra for the next panic buy. I had bought a bunch of Ruger 1022 25 round mags just before Sandy Hook. I was selling them for 10 x what I paid. Its a part of my portfolio.

  You said that 30 round magazines were illegal not that he did not obtain them legally a big difference but that may go over your head. You did not say the 223 was lighter and a shooter could carry more ammo you said it was suited for killing. You are trying desperately to fix your fuck ups.

  Any gun can be deadly. A 22lr out to around 400 yards can be deadly. The shooter could have killed the same number of people with a 22lr. These arguments do not hold water at all. A 223 is on avg a 55 grain bullet. A 22lr about 29 to 30 grains. A 3006 is about 150 on avg. 7.62x39 125 grains. a 9mm 115 grains. To understand energy you have to understand velocity and mass. a large bullet traveling at a slow speed vs a small bullet traveling at a fast speed. A 223 is a small bullet. Only about double the size of a 22lr in mass but a 22lr moves around 1500 fps where a 223 about 3100 fps. For the ballistically challenged its like a VW bug moving at 200 MPH or a Train moving at 45 MPH.

  So by your logic if he used a Chevy to run down people a chevy would be a much more deadly car than a Ford. It says it all in your name. I don't believe you are correct "again" on the 30 round mags being illegal in NZ. Show me the law before the current debate and its not a .556 its a 5.56 mm or .223 which is 223 thousands of an inch.

  It boils down to liberals don't want the public to own guns period. They know how to use the knee jerk reaction of a tragedy to manipulate the public. Start with the so called assault rifles, then move to all semi autos, and to revolvers and shot guns. and finally 22 lr. Than you can regulate and or ban air guns and restrict water pistols and the world will all be holding hand and singing Kumbya.

  So how is the 223 more deadly than any other round he could have used? I think you are trying to say he had Standard capacity magazines I.E 30 rounds with deadly. Magazines that hold more than 10 rounds can be purchased for any gun that has a detachable magazine or most any gun. 22lr, to 3006. So you are saying a 30 round mag is deadly. It could have been just as deadly to use a 9mm Glock or similar type weapon with 33 round mags. But you can switch out mags fast so even a 10 round mag can be deadly if you know how to change them out fast. I don't know what point you are trying to make but I am not sure you do either.

  Joe when you say Fully Semi auto is like saying an automatic manual transmission. It shows you don't know which end of the gun the bullet comes out of. Guns are not death rays as the left would have you believe. I remember talking with one of the heads of Winchester ammo complaining to them in the 90 they were rolling over for the idiot left by taking off the Black Talon ammo off the market when Patric Moynihan on NBC showed a chart saying the bullet was designed to take out every major organ in the body. That was the dumbest shit I have heard. Well Winchester never did bring it back. Oh wait they did. Its called SXT which is Super Expanding Talon minus the black lubaloy, which was supposed to be a lube.

  The defenses round has come a long way since then. The old Black Talon is old technology. We have many different round to choose from much better than the old BT. Although collectors still buy this up for their collections.
