Careful what you wish for! Regarding Jehovah in the New Testament

ok i'll bite.. let's say for a moment that jehovah's witnesses are right, and that the nt autographs (the originals) contained the tetragrammaton.let's say that the nt writers always wrote "jehovah" in greek (iexoba, as the witnesses spell it currently) when they quoted the hebrew scriptures, whether they quoted from the hebrew version or the septuagint, and jehovah's name appeared on the quote.

let's say that the original septuagint always had iexoba whenever they were referring to jehovah.then we have that the original septuagint said in psalms 101:26-28 the following:"at the beginning it was you, o jehovah, who founded the earth, and the heavens are works of your hands.

they will perish, but you will endure, and they will all become old like a garment.

It all goes back into the old testament. There is an invisible omnipotent yahweh and then there is some kind of divine manifestion yahweh who deals directly with humanity. It is all very weird. The two figures become so intertwined you are not sure who is what and what is who.

The new testament is the realization that Jesus is this second yahweh or whatever and the term LORD becomes as ambiguous in the new testament as in the old testament.

I have always thought the whole Jesus though Jehovah idea was kind of weak. It is also very similar to the Trinity which is kind of funny.

Regional Convention Attendance

elder friend of mine texted me asking what my rc attendance was 2 weeks ago (family and i streamed it since wife is not well).

he told me that his rc in the jersey city assembly hall last weekend was low.

co told them that around 2600 were the total from 16+ congs that were assigned.

I was dropping my wife off ( I didn't actually attend ) and I swear every 50 feet one of those parking attendants would basically step in front of my truck. I had to explain to every fucking one of them, I have a beard and a camo jacket, I am not not attending and it is not that hard how to figure out to drive up to the door and get out of this parking lot. Finally told the last one he was more of a nuisance than actually any help.

They keep switch the territories around , so my guess is you have no idea if the borg is growing or declining. Our assembly had about 3500 in attendance with a population base of maybe 1.8-2 million people. It use to be one province, 1 million people and 5000 in attendance. Now they are starting to lump provinces together.

Still lots of young families which is something I find really sad. Even since covid , it doesn't surprise me. People want to believe in some against the grain narrative to feel special.

i can confirm that the co during one of his service talks stated that zoom is a provision for elderly, infirmed, as well as people who might need it on occasion due to health reasons, otherwise you are expected to be in person at meetings and in the ministry.

this had to come down from the top.

maybe they do not want to put it in a gb update or broadcast since that would be too public i suppose.

I have a know a guy whose wife just died of complications in child birth and she is now all over twitter " Died Suddenly " . What makes it worse she was a nurse so she had to be vaccinated so of course.

I know another family who lost a son to an overdose and he is all over the anti-vaxxer sites.

"Jehovah" In The New Testament.

In the old testament you have an invisible god named Yahweh but you have divine manifestations of Yahweh ( the angel of the lord, word of the lord, wisdom of the lord etc etc ). It is not entirely clear who is what and what is who.

The new testament is the authors realizing that this manifestation was Jesus. The ambiguous use of the tetragrammation in the new testament is by design, not corruption.

Calling the tetragrammation Jehovah and adding it to the new testament is trying to clear up the ambiguity and it is just not correct. It is a mess and a mess by design.

we seem to have had an influx of religiots - the people who want to tell us all about how we / the wts / whoever are wrong, wrong, wrong about everything and how right they are.

they obviously have special insight, or voices (probably voices, right?

I have known the WTS is a horrible family destroying, soul sucking cult since I was about 12 years old but I have always held out some hope that there was hope in evangelical Christianity or at least they were less harmful if looking for a club or some friends are what not.

This last three years with covid has just ruined that for me. I guess going to church now means you a resident expert on vaccines, the Ukraine etc etc. All religion is built on ridiculous narcissism.

It is all so gross to me.

So get this.

1. Take all cause Morality over the past three years. Anyone who has died of anything.

2. Divide it into the vaxxed and unvaxxed.

3. Further separate into age groups. ( it is no secret an unvaxxed 20 year old has a better chance than a vaxxed 80 year old. )

4. Take the data and then adjust into cases per 100,000.
