Martini,
It's good to know that we can all be a source of comfort to each other. I look forward to many discussions in the future along this line.
hugs to all,

dear brothers and sisters,.
i martini, will confide in you that i have become a neutral jehovah's witness.
i wonder if i'm not coining a new phrase here!.

understanding the importance of blood and the disciple making work of jehovah's witnesses.. .
understanding involves a depth of knowledge and a comprehension of its application and implications to the subject at hand.. .
Hi See Also,
Where is this movie playing and what is it rated?
any gamers out there?.
i've just finished playing a demo disc of dreamcast's f1 world grand prix.
this could be the racing game i've been waiting for, after the disappointing flag to flag.
Hi! Any gamers out there?
I've just finished playing a demo disc of Dreamcast's F1 World Grand Prix. This could be the racing game I've been waiting for, after the disappointing Flag to Flag. I've gotten much enjoyment out of Crazy Taxi, but it's starting to get monotonous.
Tomb Raider: The Last Rev. has never looked better[well, maybe on my PC]. And for those with a strong stomach-RE:Code Veronica. WOW!
My favorite games for this system are Soul Calibur, Sonic, NHL 2K(the best hockey game ever made for a console) and now Tomb Raider.
I am waiting patiently for Shenmue.

let's put forth a question here that should provoke some interesting responses.
please feel free to give your thoughts on the matter inasmuch as that is the purpose of these boards.
we (jehovah's witnesses) do not accept blood transfusions on the principle that 'blood is sacred'.
Hello brothers and sisters,
You all gave what I thought to be some thoughtful answers to a most difficult subject that is of utmost interest to me personally. I have a type of anemia that may require a future transfusion as a last resort treatment. Well, that's never going to happen.
I am in agreement with spectromize one-hundred percent. When the Bible says no blood, it means no blood in any form.
This is difficult for me to discuss sometimes, especially when I'm not feeling well-like right now. I am at peace however with my beliefs on the matter. I would be a liar to say that I didn't struggle with the acceptance of fractions. I hope I'll never have to make that choice.
Peace,

some time back i noted on another board that what is really needed is a site wherein a witness can discuss his faith.
not a site where everything that is not considered 'positive' is censored (what can you discuss then?
) and not a site for bashing jw's (if there is nothing positive, what's the point?
Greetings Simon & Frenchy!
I couldn't agree with you more. This board has the makings of great place for tasteful, and honest discussion.
I for one, was hesitant to register at first, having my head handed to me on other sites.
I have a positive feeling about J-W.com, that this could be something special.
See you later,

wow...went to see les miserables at the weekend - it was brilliant!.
anyone else seen any good shows lately?
Simon, I also have seen Les Mis, how about that rotating set? What a spectacle!
I have tickets for an upcoming The Ride Down Mt. Morgan. Patrick Stewart has the lead. Can't wait to see Picard.

Hello everyone,
Reading your posts caused me to playback my university years over and over in my mind. I almost didn't post a reply...wanting to bury forever & forget those feelings of guilt I had just being there.
Like Mikey, higher education was the "only" option in my family. I graduated six years ago. I have a dream career and everything that goes along with it. Jehovah wants us all to find enjoyment and become skilled in the work we do and to share the benefits of our labor with others. It's not only a matter of common sense, it's a matter of survival.
I leave you with my favorite scripture on the subject:
Eccl. 3:13, 22 "Every man should eat and indeed drink and see good for all his hard work. It is the gift of God. And I have seen that there is nothing better than that the man should rejoice in his works, for that is his portion."
Just tough it out...all of you, and do not become discouraged. Know that there are many who are watching you and will follow in your footsteps.

remember that article brothers?we have been up and running for less than a week and already have had accusations of apostacy bandied about.please stop and think before you make a serious allegation like this.
imagine the hurt it would cause to a genuine brother if it wasn't true.this doesn't mean that we should let our guard down against those who would try and disrupt things or cause divisions amongst us but i'm sure these poeple would like nothing more than to see us fall out with each other.some of these rumours have been spread by members of other boards or people pretending to be them.just be on your guard to this sort of activity and help us by not passing on unfounded accusations.thank you.
Good morning Simon!
Me? Allowing a rumour to determine whether or not I participate in a discussion forum?
Never!
Prov. 16:28 "A slanderer is separating those familiar with one another." And also, Prov.29:25 "Trembling at men is what lays a snare, but he that is trusting in Jehovah will be protected."
Have a good day Simon, I must get back to work!
