Greetings, yet have problems

i'm married, have a wonderful, but "unbelieving" wife.

i have three kids, all of whom are honor students and very responsible.. now my dilemma: none of my kids are the least bit interested in being jw's.

i took them all to meetings even as babies without the help of my wife or anyone else in the congregation.

Welcome Dubby! You feel isolated and alone because
those in your congregation wouldn't know real Christian Love if it up and bit each one of them in their kiester. Sad but true. It's not their fault-that's what I keep telling myself. If the wife and kids don't want to be a part of Jehovah's
organization so be it. I never had a choice. I think my love for Jehovah is what makes me feel so
guilty. NEWS FLASH!!!!We have been serving men, not Christ. I'd use this as the lead article for my own publication-"Awake-AT LAST." Guess what? I'm not going to die forever either, even if there
are days like today that I wish I would. I have an
old book given to me by my mother-"Make sure of all things, Hold fast to what is fine." It's full of scripture quotes that could be used to answer those who question our faith. One heading caught my eye today-Not to Love Everyone and Everything.
My parents must have interpreted this to include me their unbaptised daughter. I'm reading over what I've written so far and I don't believe I've said anything that might be of help to you. I'm sure someone else will.

not going to go to another meeting

simon i'm sorry i don't mean to rain on your parade but you have to remember the society and your local elders watch for stuff like that.

this is a very liberal board as far as discussions go and forever thankful for that, but you have to be careful because you could face a jd meeting.

i'm sure everyone is well aware that some posts on this board just wouldn't go over to well with the society.

I could be wrong[you might ask your daugheter]but I think the WTS got involved because there was a question of Swaggart's ministries possibly losing their tax exempt status. This would then have a domino effect. We are covered now by the donation agreement. We were merely looking out for our own interests.

JW and XJW DB's , Bible Conscience and Truth.

i would just like to point out that when i first bought my computer and connected to the internet, the first words i typed in my browser were jehovah, jehovah's witnesses, watchtower.... i must say, i was quite amazed to see so many websites that were for and against us.

my curiosity got the better of me and started reading sites such as watchtower.org ,witnesses.net,watchtower observer, h20, freeminds...ect.. did it bother me to read opposing materials or websites?

as i mentioned in another thread i have spent many years training myself a conscience trained to what the bible and the society's publication have encouraged us to do.. again coming back to the question, did it bother me reading all this opposing stuff?

You took the words right out of my mouth Red. What
are we afraid of? I think deep down inside we all know the answer to that one. We all sit here like a deer in the headlights.

How many times have we heard over the years to avoid independent thinking and that right conduct requires a making over of the mind? It's no wonder
we are like we are even if we long to be different.

i have three children and a wife who at times has severe back problems.

i have worked two jobs just to stay ahead of the bills and provide for my family.

Welcome SC. I see so many brothers in the same situation as you and your young family. I'm certain that you have prayed hard and sincerely about this. The basic idea of ministry is serving.
If I were in your shoes I would be serving Jehovah
by taking care of the wife and little inheritances
he has entrusted to your care. It's going to be a
difficult decision but I'm sure you'll make the right one.

About the internet-of course you should be here. Isn't this a wonderful tool Jehovah has provided as a source of information and comfort? You will meet many wonderful people. You'll learn to separate the good from the not so good just like you do in everyday life.
