Kristen and mgm, I look at what we were taught about Adam and Eve and the book of Genesis as our introduction to knowledge of a creating God. Without it what knowledge would we have had about the beginnings of our universe? I can't be sure of the specific details of it but I've often thought if I can't believe what's written here in this first book-then I might as well put the Bible
down, because how can I truly believe anything else written in these pages?

I wrote this quote by H. Mears in my journal, and it sums up my feelings about origins:
Genesis is the record of human failure, first in an ideal environment(Eden), then under the rule of conscience(from the Fall to the deluge)and finally under patriarchal rule(Noah to Joseph). In
every case of human failure, however, God met human need with marvelous promises of sovereign grace. It is therefore fitting that the Bible's first book should show us the failure of humanity under every condition met by the salvation of God.

i was told by a canadian gentleman last night that.
women don't know "dick" about hockey-unless of course they are canadian women.
hmmmm.
RhW, Leave it to a Newport aristocrat to be a Polo
fan. You've come a long way from the Kingdom Hall days.seven

Zep, LOL I've heard many people describe it just the way you have. I think that's the way it is with any sport a person isn't familiar with. Once you get to know the game and can go with the flow of it you don't have that trouble any more.

Path, For that remark I have no choice but to issue you a Game Misconduct penalty. Don't worry you have 2 more before you get suspended. You will have to pay a $200.00 fine-in US dollars, not that funny money you use.seven

Path, You can't be blamed when your friends drop their gloves and run, leaving you with your sweater pulled up over your head flailing helplessly.
Am I a Dallas fan? Not exactly. I am however a big Mike Modano as well as a Brett Hull fan. I'm thrilled for the Dallas fans that they won a cup for them-right in the heart of football country.

I was told by a Canadian gentleman last night that
women don't know "dick" about hockey-unless of course they are Canadian Women. Hmmmm. Do you mean Canadian women like like ones that represented you in Nagano in '98? Let me refresh your memory. Valentines Day, Feb. 14th, USA 7 CANADA 4. GOLD MEDAL GAME-Feb. 17th, USA 3 CANADA 1. Stay tuned for a repeat in SALT LAKE CITY. Not bad for girls who don't know "dick."
Your hockey dominance ended a long time ago my friends. Can you say Jagr, Bure, Hasek, Federov, oh the list is endless, isn't it? It is a global game now. There are at least a half-dozen teams out there now (world/olympic competition) capable of winning any tourney one can organize.
Where are the Nordiques and Jets? Where THE FANS ARE, THAT'S WHERE!!!!! In the good old USA! Maybe if the Leafs can lure Scotty Bowman away from the Wings they can bring the Cup back up north of the border. I know it's been so long for you people up there. Canada's last appearance-a losing effort in '94 by Mike Keenan's Canucks. Practice makes perfect.

My favorite games include Tomb Raider(all 3, Lara is my hero, I love to abuse the butler), Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six-Rogue Spear, & Starfleet Academy.

Angharad, It is NOT sad that you like the platform games. Some of the best games ever were the Castlevania series, and just look at Sonic Adventure for DC. These are masterpieces and many have games within the game unlike a lot of that heavy metal horsesh*t that people think is so fantastic. I love Soul Calibur and can't wait for Shenmue. The controls for these games actually do what you want them to do.

I used to play cribbage and scrabble online all the time but it became an addiction when I'd stay home from work just to play. I replaced that addiction with another one-ICQ.

Concerning family and friends still in the org, there's nothing they could say or do to ever compensate for the damage done. So why don't I walk away? They really don't care, I know that. I wish I could have an attitude more like yours.

Dear Waiting, I didn't correct it for a reason. I was told by a friend that my posts were either sickeningly sweet or overly b*tchy, and who was I going to ridicule next. Bare with me while I attempt to find some middle ground.Seven
