first of all, i want to say thanks to all of you guys who gave me advice on my first post.
it really helped and i will try to use all of it.
now, i been doing research on what is false about the jdubs.
oh Dubstepped - thank you for sharing your letter (again?). It made a tear present itself in my eye. I especially liked: "The original lie was that humans would not have to die, and would know right from wrong. Who else has a similar message today?" and "Why is that if worldly relatives raised a fuss about one becoming a Witness it is called persecution, yet when one leaves the Witnesses it is called love?"
Some very thought provoking questions/ideas.

anyone got any ideas on how to get kingdom melodies out of my head.
keep finding myself singing them without realising and it's getting annoying lol.
hopefully they'll disappear with time.

ken cook was announced today at morning worship as the new member of the governing body.
i dont recall him from the broadcasts, but he was formally a helper on the writing committee as per https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/governing-body/.
So - a few mentions of this above - but are we predicting they remain at 8 now or is someone retiring? Or perhaps we are going to see a few more additions as they begin to shore up the top end and leave the underlings to fend for themselves...

since then my family have tried to convince me it's "the truth" and force me to go back even though it's my own decision.

just wanted to share this with you as it's kind of got me worried.
my brother who was also raised in "the truth™" met me in town today for a coffee.
As for arriving at his door - tack a note on the door stating that he has no need to talk to any JW's, that he is fine and aware of what his DA letter means.
A veritable "Do Not Disturb' sign.
i’ve been struggling to end a long-term relationship of 12 years that needs to end.
i came to the truth after i met him, and we never married.
i want to get married, but this man i’m with in not for me.
I was in a relationship with an alcoholic for 8 years. It does not get better on it's own. Many black outs and hitting, punching and screaming were endured. It is the booze not demons. Unless you consider the phase "demon rum" in which case you now know where the phrase comes from. My ex eventually went to AA and got clean, after we broke up - only to go back to the booze and then eventually drunk themselves into an early grave, at age 50.
There is no magic fix, you cant pray the addiction away. YOU need to get away and leave the problem with the addict.
i have been meeting with member's of the kingdom hall, and i have attended a few times now on sundays.
i'd like to discuss experiences with this group since i'm new.
so far, i love it.

i thought it was bad enough that jw`s put in weekly reports of fs hours every month in the d2d work when in fact the average publisher would never mention this "good news of the kingdom" to the householder .. more often than not it would be something like some mundane thing about what they have observed about the householders property whether they have kids ,what a lovely garden they have before being cut off by the householder with i`m not interested knowing jw`s are trying to convert them/sell them the watchtower and closing the door.. yet the jw goes away happily putting in a report telling jehovah they have spent so much time in the fs witnessing about him and the kingdom of christ jesus...... cart witnessing is even a worse lie ,why ?
because jw`s make no attempt to witness to anybody they expect people to come to them to be witnessed to which of course never happens .
they spend hours upon hours a month telling jehovah by their fs reports they hand in how much they have witnessed for him ,when in fact they have done nothing of the sort .. they chit chat among themselves witnessing to nobody for hours on end and then lie in their fs report they have been witnessing for jehovah ?.
Do the publishers themselves have to pay for the carts? If so, what is the going rate?
some of my old jw friends are sickly and getting on in age.
so far, i’ve only gone to my mother’s memorial and have avoided the kingdom hall altogether.... your thoughts please?.
