Maybe it could be worse...
by Olig inso i just watched a documentary on netflix called "the end of the world cult" about some geezer named wayne bent (self proclaimed as michael travesser).
some of the stuff this guy says is absolutely unbelievable, and made me seriously think that there are some god awful cults out there, and made me think my time in the jw's (however boring and restrictive) wasn't all so bad... has anyone else seen this?
does anyone have any recommendations on other documentaries of the like??

by Muddy Waters inso i was recently in a thrift store, looking through some of the stuff there, when another aisle over, somebody sneezed.. (as far as i know, nobody lost a meatball.... 😅🙃 ...).

I was taught the opposite. When you sneezed you we ridding your body of the demon and hence someone said bless you!

Leaving Neverland the Micheal Jackson documentary
by Finkelstein inleaving neverland the micheal jackson documentary was just released and i must say watching it myself left me pretty disgusted but not necessarily surprised.. being that there is two accounts given by two separate boys, men now, leaves the impression that their stories are truthful and factual.. what one can take from this story is that mj was a megalomaniac that thought he had the power, money and personal stature to get away with just about anything he wanted, this included pedophilia with boys.
i wonder if the over oppression restrictive nature of being brought up a child in the jws religion had an effect to his loose out of control behavior of a super rich celebrity ?.
his celebrity status and wealth really came to him when he was a pubescent young boy/teen, money in such a huge amount made anything he wanted or could afford possible.. personally i think he was inherently gay and had pursued arranged marriages to protect his perceived public image, a pretentious act which was mostly devised as a money and business endeavor .

Finkelstein - If I understand your comments correctly you are indicating that Pedophilia is a " homosexual behavior'? It is a mental disorder, plain and simple.

False Predictions
by Sea Breeze inwhat you will not be told at the door bythe jehovah’s witnesses.
the jehovah’s witness (or watchtower bible and tract society) have made the followingpredictions which appear in their own literature:.
1. that jesus would return by 1874. when jesus failed to appear, the witnesses claimedthat it was an unseen, spiritual return.

Was Russell "that" Faithful and Wise Servant?
by Sea Breeze in"from this it is clearly seen that the editor and publisher of zion's watch tower disavowed any claim to being individually, in his person, that "faithful and wise servant.
" he never did claim to be such," ("god's kingdom of a thousand years has approached," 1973, p. 346).. or this?.
"thousands of the readers of pastor russell's writings believe that he filled the office of 'that faithful and wise servant,' and that his great work was giving to the household of faith meat in due season.

Don't answer the door to any of them - period. Keep your on line persona very, very private. Do not post anything untoward, ever. Walk the other way if you see a JW you know, best to avoid them. The bottom line for the most part is this - don't give them anything to feed on, do not hang Xmas lights on your house, don't put jack-o-lanterns on your stoop, just basically fly under the radar. If you can stay under for a year or more, they will forget about you.
Best of luck - and enjoy your new found freedom!!

Rationalizing
by Tiana ini have been looking to see what pimi jdubs feel about the csa when they hear it.i just stumbled upon this.. " in jehovah’s witness congregations, victims, parents, or anyone else, have always been free to report allegations of child sexual abuse to the police.
the troubling reality is that many chose not to do it.
they alerted congregation elders and went no further.

In Jehovah’s Witness congregations, victims, parents, or anyone else, have always been free to report allegations of child sexual abuse to the police. The troubling reality is that many chose not to do it. They alerted congregation elders and went no further. Why? Because they thought that by so doing, they might be bringing reproach on God’s name and the Christian congregation."
Once again the inference is that the R&F made/make their own decisions to not report it to the officials. BUNK!
