Why does it affect us so deeply?

i was having a great chat with a valued friend and fellow forum member today on the phone.. we were discussing how deeply we all get affected by jw interactions - even years after fading or disassociating.. you know what i mean.

those days when we run into jws who we considered to be our close friends.

or "loving shepherds" who don't act kindly.

It’s a lifestyle, not just a religion. I don’t think I personally could know all the ways it has effected me mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

When i I first started really jumping into YouTube and forums and stuff I still had this inexplicable fear of apostasy, even though I left years ago. I comforted myself by telling myself “at least you know the Bible, you can trust it” come to find out I was given the wrong freakin bible!!! It’s a scary thought, but I didn’t even know that would scare me.

jw.org has layers..peel them back and they get more stinky.

i guess you can be physically out, like in a huge way, but definitely mentally in.. serena williams claims she won't be celebrating her daughter's first birthday.. i did know people like that, raised as a jw but never actually baptizing.

that didn't mean they were not messed up in the head though..

It’s amazing to me how deep the indoctrination goes. All they have to do is get certain kids (not all) to the meeting enough when they are little and this garbage is stuck in their heads forever... it’s sad really... mz Williams baby will be effected by this cult with minimal affiliation.

it's been a long way coming.

after 49 years as a jehovah's witness 3 of which in prison as a conscientious objector under very harsh conditions i have finally disassociated myself.

for the past 2 years, i have been partaking from the emblems and that led to an intense persecution, harassment, online stalking and defamation of character.

Watchtower Corporation Hacked By It's Own IT Department

it's hard for me to think that the watchtower it department must be fully aware of wt duplicity as in they are experts in using the internet and are fully aware of what the internet is saying about their boss.. so why not hack them and make more public their utter bullshit in a humanitarian concern expressed by what ever powers he has to reduce guilt.. as the reputation of the watchtower goes south and more dirt is revealed the more likely it is for those in position of trust like watchtower it department to be forced into a very precarious position of helping a bunch of frauds and so why should it be of any surprise that some type of corrective vengeance is planed by many members of the it..

The gb probably gave them some special “it” dept book called “ethical hacking”. This teaches them in virtual spiritual warfare.

I used to work for LaserShip!! awwwwwww lol look at them with their same day deliver!

We also used to ship biological specimens obtained from horses, (not blood that would be pagan!) and it had to be to the delivered very quickly! memories....

Is Child Abuse An Issue That You Personally Have Seen In The Organization?

as an elder, i saw one child abuse situation involving a man who wanted to be an elder and had i believe 8 children.

he was not in our congregation when this all erupted.

he denied it and moved to another hall and unbelievably, that body of elders wanted to appoint him since they believed his entire family was lying about him.

JW’s do NOT shun... (apprently)

my quora campaign of answering all jw related questions truthfully with evidence is going well.

however, one jw had the audacity to claim that "jws do not shun".

they seem to want to present a fake, squeeky clean image to non-members and seem to get angry when answering questions regarding shunning.. like this asshole, dennis cybulski.

its said that "the JW dont break up families" because the people that leave are "mentally diseased" and those people are breaking up families. it has NOTHING to do with the Watchtower or anything they teach... (I wish sarcasm translated better)
