it's a .223
Thing is, there really is no difference, between a 'sniper rifle' and a hunting rifle. Only difference is this guy is hunting people, not deer.

isn't the term 'french army deserter' an oxymoron?
:)
I dont think he is in a white van either. People have the idea that police.fbi etc are supermen who have special ways to catch criminals. The fact is, most criminals are caught because they are stupid,or have a motive.
If the guy is careful not to leave any evidence and to carefully plan his attacks, the odds are he will not get caught. The police simply dont have anything to go on. I feel bad for the Police Chief in charge of this case. He's got everyone on his back saying "do something", but really, what can he do?
i have never voted, (gee i wonder why...could it have been against my religion?
), anyway i was wondering if there are any good sources for general information about voting.. the info i need is for example, how do you research the candidates and issues?
i don't even know where to begin.
Freedom of choice, yeah. Would you rather be spat on or slapped?

Dont worry about learning the candidates stand on anything. Just follow the money. It doesn't really matter anyway, we have a one party system here in the U.S. Each party packages their crap in a different colored box, but it's still just crap. I encourage you to get involved, but trying to figure out one particular candidates views is futile, as they are likely to change with the next big campaign contribution. Convincing people to identify themselves as 'republican' or 'democrat' or 'liberal' or 'conservative' is just a divide and conquer tactic.

any of you evolutionists ever crunch the numbers?
Ok. Which one?
any of you evolutionists ever crunch the numbers?
I kind of agree with you coolbreeze. My gut feeling is there's more to life/the universe etc than is currently understood, call it GOD tm or whatever you want. I don't believe he's a male single parent however. I also understand how people find it difficult to comprehend life starting spontaneously. However, once it was started by god or chance or whatever, the evidence that Evolution through natural selection brought it to where it is today is overwhelming.
BTW, do you still have me on ignore, pome? :)
