the average jw elder participates in extra exclusive activities over and above the rank & file jw: among them are the judicial committees, private meetings with the circuit and district overseer on various official occasions, possession of the secretive flock book, and kingdom ministry school.. of all these, the least frequently experienced is km school.
it is not all that exciting, because much of what is covered is admonition about what most jws already know that elders are supposed to be doing: examples in field service, regular shepherding calls, meeting preparation and attendance, study with the family, etc.

Hard To Keep Silent

I think it's silly to say R movies are wrong. The R rating in the US, can be a PG in Australia, and vice versa. For example, The Matrix was R rate in the US, but I think it was a PG in Australia. So a JW in Australia could watch it and not the once in the US?

if they are not so in the us, please do not scream too loudly that major changes are occuring etc., because this has got to be some local us thing, if it is true what you say that they are not renewed in the us.

Amnesian: Our congregation is ordering some cards using the literature arrangement. But they will be the cards with the 3/99 date.
I think it is important to renew the cards yearly so that it reflects the most accurate information (i.e. address, phone numbers, contact information, allergy info and current use of prescription drugs). But also starting with last year, the enphasis was given to filling out the DPA forms by each baptized publisher. This being a more legal document.

no blood cards this year!
by DIM inlast night at meeting they told us to just use our blood cards from last year.
in the past they've always told us how important it was to get it signed every year so that people could see our current views as jw's.....doesn't this new arangement negate everything they've ever said in regards to this?
