  VA Tech Incident - Stupid Things People Say

  watching all the pundits on tv after the killings at va tech yesterday, there were a handful of things that kept getting repeated that are just stupid.

  usually they also require an impossible level of hindsight (which a good number of the pundits have, it seems).

  i've just got to rant about this for a few minutes.

  Police have charged Shane Anthony, husband of Christianburg Primary School teacher Melissa Anthony, with her murder following a week of intense investigations. SHANE ANTHONY Anthony, also a school teacher in Linden, was held for continuous questioning by detectives since Melissa was found dead at their home at 134 Hippani Oval in Retrieve, Linden, two Saturdays ago. They were married in 2003. Melissa Anthony's body was discovered by her nephew Tristan Grant in a pool of blood. MELISSA-ANTHONY Her head was bashed in while she was cooking and preparing to go to Bible sessions at her Jehovah Witnesses church. Shane Anthony, also a member of the church and a teacher at the Mackenzie High School, was said to be teaching at his normal Saturday lessons when his wife was found dead. Sources said two persons came forward to give evidence in the police probe while led to the murder charged against the husband. Detectives from Georgetown were in Linden looking for clues in the teachers' quarters building where the couple lived.   Any of you guys into cooking?

  i have to admit, for many years i hated it.

  before i got married i used to do lots of my own cooking and enjoy artistry of it.

  heck, i'm not saying i was an expert at it but the important thing was i loved it.. but then things hit the fan and for years after, particularly because being on my own now, i would find any and every excuse in the cookbook not to do it lol.

  How do you guys know that standing firm won't work

  so, many of you have rightfully challenged my beliefs that standing firm and telling your families exactly what you feel about the wtbts won't work.... i submit that it doesn't work becasue we don't stand together!

  if all of us would stand firm say what we know to be true, do it publically, and not back down then i guarentee you there are many in the congs that want out of this crap and their just too scared to do anything becasue they don't want to lose their families.

  in my family there are many that call me privately and tell me they know the wt is a crock of shit but won't stand up against it!

  I'm interested to hear what you have to say!

  Hello dawg,

  I just now have gotten the chance to sit down and 'scan' the forum to catch up on my "reading". Life beckons.

  And I must say, I love seeing THIS thread.

  If you have read any of my posts on this very topic, you will see that I very much think this way as well. My truer feelings and thoughts are how ridiculous 'staying in for....' has become. How many more lives must this lethal organization destroy, by the helping hands of it's "dedicated, baptized MINIONS members"? It is seriously frustrating WAITING on the very ones you and I speak of, to finally throw caution to the wind, grab what's left of YOUR SPIRIT, and DO THE RIGHT THING.

  TIME WAITS FOR NO ONE. Especially the innocent children of the Watchtower, whom MANY IN THIS WORLD and the world of the Watchtower, have absolutely forgotten about.

  I write this without having read this entire thread. I saw no need to do that. I pretty much know the pattern of replies to this topic. I'm not about to put my SELF through that type of ridiculousness. It's too infuriating.

  has anyone else ever noticed that there is no watchtower in scripture as part of any particular teaching but there is prominent use of watchtower in dungeons and dragons type games and forms of witchcraft including spells involving watchtower?

  "Francis Hitching" who is used in the Creation book(s) as a source and who is a Pyramidologist and sci-fi writer on paranormal subjects and NOT educated beyond secondary schooling although he is represented as a qualified scientist by the WT!

  then utter such insanity as "the 'thing' is we have the resurrection to look forward to if it doesn't "go well"".. if that is true, and you believe it wholeheartedly, why expend all the energy, in this wicked system of things that jehovah god is going to destroy...soon, so that you will inherite a "new system", to keep him alive in such a 'system'?.

The most innocent of which are the children, who have no clue what the policies truly mean and entail.

  I'm not sure I can or will allow mySELF to sit through this entire dvd. It will be a challenge. That I can tell you.
