the article by silentlambs is somewhat misleading.
yes, the suits were settled with gag orders.
it is customary to do so in almost any settlement case.
One word describes this all for me, at his point:

I will say this though, for sure:
If a gag order was a stipulation to settle, I would have outright declined.
What is PRO ductive in a settlement when the most important part of it all, is NOW being able to tell your story to the ones whom need and must hear it most...
THE PUBLIC?!
I swear, this is getting more ridiculous as each day goes by that this organization continues to be, ALLOWED BY ITS MEMBERS WHO NOW KNOW THE TRUTHS. YET STILL DO NOT PROCLAIM THEM TO THE ONES WHOM NEED TO HEAR IT THE MOST, above the rest of the world when it comes to criminal acts and downright corruption.
Perhaps it isn't ambivalence after all.

suggest we hit that thread and drive it to the top of cif.
Interesting. I've been emailing Andrew Vachss for several years now regarding the child abuse sex abuse issues within the JW community, yet to no avail.
re: http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/8/116108/1.ashx.
a bethel insider in the know told me that all of the child abuse lawsuits where the watchtower bible and tract society was one of the defendants were settled back in the beginning of this year.
i questioned it and called napa myself and they were absolutely settled back then.
the victims who were involved in the lawsuits for finally they are having some kind of closure in the form of money (which came from donations made to the worldwide Watchtower work).
Shocking!
Perhaps we should be emailing Dateline and 20/20 urging them to do a follow-up
Done. Perhaps an email address is in order for others.
how in the world will they ever know that the JW's settled out of court? They are so isolated
Jw's isolated? That's a myth anymore. The way jws WILL KNOW is by the ones who come here and get the info. They are the ones who should be alerting the so-called "isolated ones".
Go to your meetings and tell them about this YOURSELVES.
Now we know the real reason they are selling 6 Brooklyn properties.
LOL! Yea, Ted truly thinks no one even notices. What a hoot.

After discovering and uncovering that monumental amount of corruption, deception, misrepresentation and criminal activity that IS The Watchtower [ JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES ] Organization, just how pathetically pitiful is THAT?
Poor woman is going to die a very lonely and disillusioned woman.
Good work Barbara.
