alright my techie friends..here is a new puzzle for you....i knew i had heard there were 27,000 known pedophiles..i thought it was from jr brown ..it still might be..alot of my buds on the board could`nt find the info that would support what i thought i had heard..i found some...go to google search engine..type in "number of jehovah`s witness pedophiles"..the number 27,000 comes up a few times in the list of subjects..you guys are much better at getting into the information than me.....sic-em!!.....lol!

To Whom It May Concern,

Recently the NGO Section has been receiving numerous inquiries regarding the association of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York with the Department of Public Information (DPI). This organization applied for association with DPI in 1991 and was granted association in 1992. By accepting association with DPI, the organization agreed to meet criteria for association, including support and respect of the principles of the Charter of the United Nations and commitment and means to conduct effective information programmes with its constituents and to a broader audience about UN activities.

In October 2001, the Main Representative of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York to the United Nations, Giro Aulicino, requested termination of its association with DPI. Following this request, the DPI made a decision to disassociate the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York as of 9 October 2001.

Please be informed that it is the policy of the Department of Public Information of the United Nations to keep correspondence between the United Nations and NGOs associated with DPI confidential. However, please see below the paragraph included in all letters sent to NGOs approved for association in 1992:

"The principal purpose of association of non-governmental organizations with the United Nations Department of Public Information is the redissemination of information in order to increase public understanding of the principles, activities and achievements of the United Nations and its Agencies. Consequently, it is important that you should keep us informed about your organization's information programme as it relates to the United Nations, including sending us issues of your relevant publications. We are enclosing a brochure on the "The United Nations and Non-Governmental Organizations", which will give you some information regarding the NGO relationship."

In addition, the criteria for NGOs to become associated with DPI include the following:

• that the NGO share the principles of the UN Charter;

• operate solely on a not-for-profit basis;

• have a demonstrated interest in United Nations issues and a proven ability to reach large or specialized audiences, such as educators, media representatives, policy makers and the business community;

• have the commitment and means to conduct effective information programmes about UN activities by publishing newsletters, bulletins and pamphlets, organizing conferences, seminars and round tables; and enlisting the cooperation of the media.

We expect that you will share this information with your concerned colleagues, as we are unable to address the scores of duplicate requests regarding the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society that are being directed to our offices. Thank you for your interest in the work of the United Nations.

The Watchtower Bible & Tract Society has recognized Silentlambs, and agrees with Silentlambs goals. This interesting news was published from their world headquarters by their public affairs spokesman, JR Brown, according to Associated Press.

Present and former Jehovah's Witnesses who claim they were sexually abused by congregation leaders gathered in their first national caucus Saturday, sharing grievances about the religion's handling of abuse complaints and discussing legal strategy. Victims from as far away as Sweden attended the conference, and Watchtower Observer was informed Swedish TV was there to make a program about it.
William Bowen of Silentlambs said that more than 6,000 alleged sexual abuse victims have contacted a group he founded in 2001 to express "outrage at being silenced by the bad institutional policies" of the faith.
The interesting thing about this is that William Bowen’s fight against child molestation seems to have an effect on the Watchtower itself, and he seems to have gained respect for his work from the Watchtower Society. AP wrote this about Brown’s statement:
J.R. Brown, public affairs spokesman at the world headquarters of the Witnesses' Watchtower Bible and Tract Society in New York City, said the religion agrees with silentlambs' goal "to minimize or eliminate the sexual abuse of children" but disputes the group's specific allegations.
Brown also disputed silentlambs' contention that Witnesses are discouraged from taking abuse complaints to secular police. Official policy says, according to Brown, elders should report abuse allegations to police if state laws require this, as is now the case in many states.
For the first time we can confirm this can be done these days. Some place on the west coast of Norway, a 36 year old Jehovah’s Witness raped his step daughter on a public lavatory. He had also abused another stepdaughter and two daughters. The girls are today from five to 23 years old. He told the congregation elders about this, and they actually contacted the police!
As far as we know, this has never before happened in Norway, and we are absolutely sure this turn in policy is a direct result of the work of William Bowen and Silentlambs.
This is clear evidence it is worth while to fight for children’s rights. We are talking about human rights for children – and Silentlambs is the spear point in this work.

!..and..many doctrines,i could no longer preach.i would be reprimanded,reproved or disfellowshipped for it!..doctrines we were told to preach,straight from god,given to us by the wbt$ are no longer valid.the wbt$ says so.......i left in 1974.i couldn`t preach "armageddon by 1975"..most jehovah`s witness`s will tell you wbt$ never made that prediction.although wbt$ liturature says otherwise....."jehovah`s witness will be the only ones who survive armageddon".now,no one knows....."jehovah`s witness`s can`t take blood transfusions".now they can use blood factions....."religion has no place with worldly organizations".the wbt$ had an assosiation with the united nations-ngo..make a big deal about that and you "will" be disfellowshipped!.....

from time to time this new phenomenon hits the mainstream media, though usually it is below the radar and public scrutiny.

for those not familiar with it bilderberg is a group of most powerful and most influential leader who according to many conspiracy theorist rule the world and are according to them poised to introduce new world order whatever that means to them.

now i'm the first to dismiss these kinds of things, you know, usual freemasonry etc.
