why do kids love wellies so much?.
we went to buy liam some new school shoes and clothes yesterday and both lads wanted to buy some wellies - liam got green tweenie ones and dylan got red thomas the tank engine ones.. they wore them when we got home and didn't take them off till bedtime.
this morning they are both walking round in their pyjamas and ... wellies.
One of my favorite pictures of my son was when he was about 4 yrs old. He has on his cowboy boots, cowboy hat and his superhero underwear standing out in the front yard. AAhh to be that free with fashion. :)

yesterday, when farkel announced his departure and shunning of us all, i was incensed and outraged.
in fact i had similar feeling's to those day's 20yrs ago, after being df'd, where former friends and relatives, just simply said 'your no good, your not worthy of my/our attention anymore' turned thier back's and walked away from me.
then witnessed farkel ignore the sweet comments lilac's writes just for him....made we want to ring his neck.

i understand it but at the same time i dont understand it because i was born and raised a jw so i was always in their mindset.
but how does someone who comes from the world and joins the org justify going against every natural instict they have?
i mean its just unnatural to turn against your own flesh and blood.
I did not come in as an adult, but my mother did. Basically she was raised in a highly disfunctional house. Married a very controlling man. Didn't have many friends. Met a neighbor and a parent of a friend of mine that were witnesses and of course they were sooooo nice to her. Not to be her friend of course but to sink their bible study hooks into her! I think that for her, it was getting away from my dad and having something of her own, without him controlling it. Oddly enough he was never oppositional. And having people show her a lot of attention, while she was studying. It did take her 5 years to get baptized. Though now she is constantly complaining about the clicks at the hall that she is never incuded in.
Basically, I noticed that sometimes when people came in as adults. They were very unhappy with their current life situation. And of course the witnesses spew forth nothing but happy, happy, happy. What a crock!! I even had someones study tell me that the pioneer who was studying with her had all but told her that the witnesses were perfect. Can you believe that shit??!! I of course felt it my obligation and duty to let her know otherwise. ;)

please help me understand this jw dream.. my therapist once told me that dreams are one of the ways that our subconscious mind have of telling us something emotionally urgent about ourselves.
as i had a dream last night that really aroused my feelings, i was wondering if anyone cared to take a stab at what it is trying to tell me?.

I'm not much of a dream interpretor, but I saw a woman on t.v. who is. She said that you look at how the events in your dream made you feel and ask yourself if there is anything going on in your life that makes you feel the same. Just my 2 cents. :)

if ever there was a phrase that irritated a po, then that was surely the one.
people who told the po that they were writing to the society were trying to make a point that they were not happy with the way that the congregation was being run.
hey mr. po, sort this out or else i grass on you being the thinly veiled threat.
I remember being told by a ms and his wife that people who write letters to the society are apostates. Of course at the time i accepted that because i was in the depths of brainwashing. But now looking back on that statement, it is totally wrong!

i was getting the kids ready for bed last night and i heard the doorbell ring.
it was about 7:30 and i had no idea who it could be.
i opened the door and 2 elders from our hall were standing there.
