my sister went to the circuit assembly this past weekend here in bklyn ny.. they had a young sister on the platform helping to promote pioneering.the interesting point about this is that this young sister is attending college full time and actually said this in front of the audience.she brought out that she is going to college full-time and that since she "has only one more year left, she will wait to pioneer when she is in her last year of college because maybe then it probably won't be so hard.
" these were her exact words.. i find this to be very interesting.
those of us who have done parts or experiences or talks for circuit assemblies know that each talk and each part is scrutinized in practice sessions prior to the assembly in front of the circuit overseers.
I went to an assembly in Seattle or Tacoma (I can't remember which one) in 1987 or 1988 where nobody got baptized. They still gave the talk and said what the questions would have been had anyone been getting baptized.

The article does not say who took the pictures. It could have been the teenagers taking pictures of each other. Maybe the adults didn't even know they did it.

None of this sounds "kinky" to me. It just sounds like "guys being guys". One minute everyone's saying how "overly strict" the witnesses are and then when they do act like a bunch of normal guys, everyone's saying they're being kinky.
My husband used to work on a logging crew and guys do stuff to each other like this all the time. Their sense of humour is a lot like 5th grade boys, anything to do with body parts or body functions makes them laugh their ass off. Especially if no females are around to make them feel stupid for acting that way.

I could not disagree with you more about Gina. She disliked her old tribemates because they were as lazy as hell!! If I had to be stuck with a bunch of immature lazy asses I wouldn't like them either. I would have said the same thing she did about hoping one of them got voted off. Would you want to be stuck doing all of the work? I don't think you would like it too much either. Or would you be one of the lazy ones,....just chillin'?

Bull$h!t!!!! How can you group all Americans together like that? That's like saying that all people from the UK have bad teeth. And how is what Sleepy said ironic? I know irony when I see it and that was not irony. It was just a point being made with a comma in the wrong place, which made it hard to understand.

I was so happy for the maraamu tribe. They deserved to win. It was so funny when they were raiding the other teams camp. haha How humiliating for rotu.
I was surprised that rob and sean voted gabe off instead of teaming up and voting off john. The way they edit that show, it makes you think one thing is going to happen and then the opposite happens.
My family and I are addicted to this show.

and if you read some snarls in between those words, you don't know the half of it.. my wife asked me to go to the memorial last night, and i decided to go if for no other reason than to keep tabs on what's going on.
those who know my story know that my situation is unusual.. just before we left she came to me privately and said that she had something to tell me before i heard it from anyone else.
she knows exactly how i feel about the society, and was scared as to my reaction, and i don't blame her: there's hell to pay.. jeff strebe committed suicide the night before.

Lane County man dies in fall
EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - A 39-year-old Lane County man died after falling into a lake, shortly after walking away from a minor car accident.
Jeffrey Strebe, a father of five from Dorena, south of Eugene, refused medical treatment after his car collided with a guardrail along Shoreview Road, at the top of a cliff overlooking the lake.
When firefighters and paramedics tried to approach him, he climbed over the guardrail and went over the cliff, landing in 12 to 15 feet of water, said John Miller, coordinator said.
The area, known as ``Dorena's Drop,'' was only accessible by boat. Search and rescue crews, accompanied by several volunteer divers, recovered his body later in the night.
An autopsy was conducted Thursday, but the results were not made public.
Tests also were being done to determine whether Strebe was under the influence of any intoxicants, the Lane County sheriff's office said.
A former millworker, Strebe worked as a newspaper carrier for The Register-Guard for several years and also did occasional carpentry work.
He and his wife of 22 years, Teresa, have five sons, ages 12 to 20.
``I would bet my life that he did not jump,'' said Strebe's mother, Barbara, who lives next door to her son's family. ``I think he was disoriented and he slipped off the edge of the road.''
