  Do you think Ruthaford is buried at Beth Sharim?

  there is some word of mouth evidence that he is buried under the garage of beth sarim.

  i think he is under the garage.

  JW compassion?

  i have a nephew that has just recently being diagnosed with a life threatening disease through bad choices he has made in his life over the last 20 years.

  now he has asked myself and my sons to be there for him and without being judgemental we have being up at the hospital every other day for the last couple of weeks.

  now this is the part where i am just pissed right off.. one of my nephews other cousins goes to the hospital and starts giving him a guilt trip, saying that this was all his own fault that she couldn't talk to him for the last 20 years and his sickness now is all because he left jehooba organization blah blah blah.

  My wife said that her dad said last visit that he was encouraging my wife's niece [her sisters daughter] to go to collage. That she needed to make money and support her self. Late to the party sure, but its a huge deviation from what he was 35 years ago. If my FIL who was a mind numb kool aid drinker is saying this there are others.

  Cha I agree. and I would just move on in my life if not for my wife. I know its hard seeing her mother in a facility and her dad struggling. Even though they brought not the sickness but financial issues on them-self and I will say her mother was a fairly arrogant witness in the day. From what I understand her dad does not even mention religion to her when she visits. This is the same guy who went to the elders when we faded out and told them to go make his daughter go to meetings. She was 30 at the time. Its almost like he is running on auto pilot when it comes to meetings and service. The end of the wold is just around the corner is not seeming to be there very strong.

  I guess my wifes sister has an attorney and a court date to try to get SSI. She was on SSI got in an accident that in all fairness was not her fault. A drunk crossed the line and hit her head on. She had surgery, She got a settlement and the SSI was taken away because she had money. She ran though it and then had no SSI. I hope she gets it deserve it nor not just to take pressure off my wife's dad.

  Could you really trust the Governing Body to the right thing?

  over the years, many have speculated on how the governing body might reform the society into something that might actually bring some positivity in to the world ... and a resent melancholy moment, i re-watched the youtube clip of usa for africa's, 'we are the world' which was released in 1985. now while i know our men in warwick would never actually consider organizing the brotherhood to do something completely selfless in helping the truly worldly poor, something that would actually improve the religion's reputation ... but the question is ... could you really trust the governing body to run an aid program like usa for africa or band aid, without skimming from the top?.

  Thanks for the support, my big problem is my wife is not seeing things correctly. Yes its hard, but her parents and sister made their bed. I have to be a bit tactful but the fact remains her sister is extremely over weight. Like 5.3 feet and 370 pounds. She is suicidal and depressed. But lives on FB looking and living through other Dubbers lives. When My wife and I were first married we went through some very tough times. We were in the middle of the 80s depression recession. I was determined not to ever be down to my last dollar. But her sister is not that bothered when she is out of money and has nothing. I don't know if its the JW and the big A is soon to come or just stupidity or a combination of both. As bad as things are her dad still talks of getting time to get out in service more.

  I posted this before, but my wife is upset and not handling it well. Her mother has Alzheimer and is in a care facility for the rest of her life. Between medicare and caid she is paid for the care. But her dad is dad broke. He is taking care of her younger sister 44 yo and trying to get on SSI. My wife is mad her dad is broke but wants to blame others. I had to stop her and tell her that I support you and its a hell of a thing you are going through but I was told 35 years ago I did not know what I was talking about when I said you had to work to make a retirement. Her dad told me he was never going to die, did not need to worry about retirement because he would never need it bla bla bla. I told her if she know then what she knows now there is nothing she could say or do to change the bed her sister and parents made for themselfs. I think she feels guilty because we are doing OK. I am 56 and have been semi retired for several years. For over 20 years I worked night and day 5 years in a row I never had off a Sunday or Saturday. I saved and invested and bought rentals and rand them up to last year I sold my last one. I refuse to feel guilty because someone made bad decisions. Her mother never worked and was a special pioneer for years. People make their beds and then it costs them. The GB is the cause of much suffering and they deserve to be tried and hung for their crimes.

  i find this alarming because jones was very outspoken and had great guests on discussing topics most other media outlets wouldn't go near.. the fact that many have restricted him access to their medium what does this say on our freedoms of speech?.

  Its not what I think its what I know, that its easy to support freedom of speech when you agree with the speech. Its most needed when its the most stupid or hateful speech.

  this is liberalism at its worst. And why I hate FB, Twitter and the other tech asshats.
