  Have you ever considered trying ancestry.com?

  i was recently given a gift of ancestry.com and i’m curious if anyone else has used this service?.

  I did it about 6 months ago. I was told growing up most of my heritage was England and Germany. I did the Ancestry.com and it came back 60% England and 35% Western Europe and 2% Scandinavia so they were not lying.

  DFed talking to other DFed

  i don't know if they do this any longer but back in the day they had a special section at an assembly sectioned off for dfed people who would have to wear a ribbon that said disfellowshipped.

  do they still do this and what was the rules on dfed talking to dfed at the assembly?

  I can clearly remember assemblies where there were sections and ribbons. My mother pointed it out and said don't talk to people with that ribbon. This was late 60s.

  JW funerals are sick, they are recruitment talks not funerals. Second I can remember a CO giving a talk at a CA and pulling a skull out of a paper bag saying if you wanted to talk to your DFed children or family members and Jehovah was in charge of this system this is what you would be talking to.   I think this will backfire and is backfiring on them. I heard one recording where Tony tight pants was followed as he walked on the street and had to dash into a door to get away. 20 years ago no one knew but a few of the rank and file who the GB was and not many photos were around. Now they are known and can be chased around as they walk out and about. I see the cult in terminal decline. I don't see it gone in a few years but who knows I thought Germany would take several years and bam all over.

  JW compassion?

  i have a nephew that has just recently being diagnosed with a life threatening disease through bad choices he has made in his life over the last 20 years.

  now he has asked myself and my sons to be there for him and without being judgemental we have being up at the hospital every other day for the last couple of weeks.

  now this is the part where i am just pissed right off.. one of my nephews other cousins goes to the hospital and starts giving him a guilt trip, saying that this was all his own fault that she couldn't talk to him for the last 20 years and his sickness now is all because he left jehooba organization blah blah blah.
