Ken Ham is setting the bar low and Bill is not a scientist. He is an engineer. He is one of the worst speakers and debaters I have seen. Just to let anyone know I am not sticking up for ham I am an atheist. But Nye is a bit of an asshat.

TTDTT, never heard exactly that. But when I was in Arcadia cong in the mid 80s in Florida, there was one particularly self righteous idiot who worked as a dog catcher for a while then carpet layer, that would get all ticked off if anyone ever went to Disney for a weekend and missed service and meetings. He was from NY and was such a douche nozzle.

Has the Governing Body ever been right?
by Jules Saturn ini asked this question to a relative after mentioning several situations where teachings were changed or readjusted (new light) and they have two reasons.
yes, they are correct because look at how the preaching work has grown through the decades and the advancements in witnessing and the second reason was the doctrine of the trinity and how the society opposes that.
i didn’t really have a response, especially for the trinity doctrine.. does the governing body have the rejection of the trinity belief correct?.

As far as I know the society has changed the translation of the bible from what is accepted to support the non trinity belief. So they kind of changed the rules to the game so they could win like Cpt. Kirk did. Not really correct. As far as the preaching work goes they are not really expanding, they seem to grow when tensions are very high in the world and a lot of change or war is going on then when predictions fail they take a dump. As far as growth they are only breeding new members at any real rate. Not really keeping up with population. So as far as I am concerned my opinion is they do not even have smoke and mirrors. Its all BS

Evolution is a Fact #1 - Protein Functional Redundancy
by cofty ini intend for this to be one of a series of bite-sized ops on the evidence for evolution.. introduction to dna genes are sequences of dna made up of words (codons) each of which are three letters (bases) long.
there are only four letters in the genetic alphabet (acg&t) each word or codon is the recipe for one amino acid.
there are 20 different amino acids in living organisms.

Evolution is a fact its been observed, but for me to say that life came from nothing or the primordial soup, does not cut it. I don't believe in the Bible or any religion but I can not believe the mutations and natural selection created the diverse complex life we see on earth. The odds of this happening can not even be calculated. So how did we get here? I have no freeking idea. But because I can not explain it does not default to the bible being correct.

Why Do People Oppose Jehovah's Witnesses?
by BlackSpirit injesus christ, the son of the most high god, jehovah has this to say: "if the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you.
if you were part of the world, the world would be fond of what is its own.
now because you are no part of the world, but i have chosen you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you.

If one wants to be in a cult its their choice, but what we oppose is the two witness rule, protecting pedophiles, Shunning that breaks up family's, Blood bull shit that kills people, anti education and association with non JWs that cause their people to not get good jobs and have nothing at retirement. The cult protects this BS. So as long as they do we will oppose.
