  If the WT came out with a policy change tomorrow (or the laws were updated in all states, whichever is more likely to happen first) that made reporting mandatory (even back dating however far the law would like) would SilentLambs continue?

  silentlambs was and wil always be a support group for jw survivors of abuse as its primary purpose. If WT changed policy we would no longer focus on educating people to that end and concentrate all efforts on helping abuse survivors.

  If Silentlambs does continue (because eventually I believe that one of the two, the WT or the law, will change) will you no longer focus on bringing attention to the WT and simply focus on supporting victims?

  simply focus on supporting victims.

  Or will you continue working with the media?

  There will always be a basis for using media to expose injustice and educating the public.

  "sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me..."

  Over the course of the last two years, there have been different ones to challenge and ridicule silentlambs. I recall Harold a brutal antagonist on H2o who had one tirade after another, along with several others who all seemed remarkably similiar in their attacks. I learned to watch and when we burned Watchtower pretty bad, then would come the attacks. I think it was their befuddled way to try and offset negative information being read by lurkers. The result is when silentlambs is attacked it generally means we are getting to them pretty good at the moment, so I view it as a positive. If we were ignored then that would mean we were not worth bothering with. The attacks are typical, raising innunendo or twisting comments into some negative implication that has no valid basis. For those who wish to believe those comments they were just looking for an excuse anyway, for the rest, they know where the real truth lay.

  So I appreciate the attacks as it helps me know Watchtower is still reacting and trying to cover themselve at all costs and it let's me know I am on the right track. Thank you WT trolls, your words tell me more than you will ever know.

  The silentlambs march is fast approaching, I encourage one and all to get your hotel reservations and make your final travel arrangements. We have a listing of discount hotels if you need assistance.

  We are going to have a police escort all the way to the front door of 25 Columbia Heights . All permits have been obtained. Plan to be at Pierpopint Place and Columbia Heights at around on 1:30 PM on the 27 th of Septtember, 2002. We will proceed in an orderly fashion to 25 Columbia Heights . This march is not about anger, it is not about other issues you may be upset about, it is about protecting children and supporting abuse survivors. I prefer that all banners and posters support this theme. We are united for one cause. Some have stated they wish to express other agendas at the march, I feel this is not appropriate. What if you were an active witness whose child had been molested, would it be fair to them to express views that may be offensive? To reach out to all and keep the focus we have to be neutral on doctrinal issues. Silentlambs is about support of ALL, not any certain side of doctrinal issues.

  Dress however you wish, wear comfortable walking shoes, casual clothing will be fine. Be sure to bring rain protection just in case, cheap ponchos are about $1 at Walmart. Be aware it could be cooler in this time of the year. We will have t-shirts available when you get there.

  When we arrive at 25 Columbia Heights, we will first have a program in which abuse survivors will be asked to make a brief 60 second comment for whoever wants to speak. I will introduce different ones after the opening comments. We will then request a meeting with the Governing Body as outlined in my June 2002 letter. Anyone who wishes to serve as an eye-witness to their crimes against children will be invited to present evidence or testimony to prove our accusations. If the Governing Body refuses to meet we will then deliver the lambs to them as a reminder of who they are hurting by not meeting. Anyone who cannot make the trip can send a lamb along with a friend.

  We will then conclude with closing comments by those who wish to speak and I will conclude the program. Afterwards for those who can we would like to meet for dinner at a location nearby. This will be announced when we get there.

  If you are not able to make the journey I encourage you to wear a silentlambs t-shirt in a public place on . You can make your statement locally that you offer support. I will soon have a series of bumper stickers, t-shirts, and lapel pins for sale on silentlambs. If you cannot afford to buy one and are an abuse survivor call me and we will work something out. Below is one example.

  I encourage you to not miss this history making event. It will mark a turning point for the organization, that is, we unite to take a stand for what is morally and ethically right for the sole purpose of protecting children and supporting abuse survivors. It will be a public testament to the righteousness or wickedness of those who lead this organization.

  i always bring up the issue as it pertains to jw's as well.

  as with anyone associated with jehovahs witnesses the worst possible news anyone can have is being df.

  it means a loss of everyone and everything you have known all your life.

  Thank you all for the kind remarks and thoughts. It has been a long week, I feel like I have been wrestling a bear. The work that goes into promoting a media story is unbelievable. No one will ever know how much effort went into getting the NYT article along with the highs and lows of waiting two weeks for it to finally hit the paper. The CNN interview was not easy also. I was called on Monday and asked about the possibility, then Tuesday I was called with a go if I could get eight people ready to go on camera in 45 minutes. I called numerous people and finally got eight within 45 minutes. That is the only reason we got the story the next day. They then used only two. The truck arrived five minutes before the interview and had to set up in 30 minutes, something that generally takes two hours. I had asked to speak with Connie Chung in advance to prepare for the interview. That did not happen, the first word out of her mouth was the interview, so we had no idea what she was going to ask. She had five false starts and after we finished they wanted to do a retake, which I thought was a good idea. When they tried to do that they lost the KY sat link as the time was up and someone else was in line for it. We did not get a retake. As good as it was, it could have been much better, but we gave it our best shot. I again thought Heidi and Amber truly delivered under stressful circumstances. It was a heroic adventure to say the least. Thursday dawned with more media wanting information within an hour for a major story next week, the CNN preparation helped me to have people ready to go. I am going to let WT guess where this torpedo is coming from. I also have two foreign countries doing interviews next week. Wanna guess WT?

  Thursday was a blur, today has been non stop phone calls and over 100 emails. It seems momentum is getting stronger as more start to see this as far worse than the Catholic scandal, in that they are lying their way out of this. I was somewhat disappointed in the Paducah article, it seems the reporter printed a lot less of what I said and everything Stockwell said. It appeared I was a bit radical and they thought I was going to start a fight, the reality is the opposite is true. It is they who have harrassed, lied, vandalized, and done many other hurtful things. They are the deceptive ones who ignore even trying to tell the truth. The comment about the local molestation being groundless was such an outrage, it is exactly what they have told the congregation. The reporter got hosed and did not even know it. But any press is good press and we will take what we can get.

  The KH number is correct, you can call information to verify if you wish as it is listed. It is on an answering machine. they used my voice for over one year before they realized who was on the machine and changed it.

  Well it is accomplished, it was a wild ride that I thought would never have lasted this long. The basis of course was totally bogus for my df, as with Joe, they showed how much they really care about children in relation to their absolute control. I believe they have publicly condemned themselves by their actions. I know many have anger over doctrine and jerks who have hurt them badly as well as the pain of the df policy. Yet this issue has made a public testiment to something more than disagreements between people. It is a crime to hurt children, it is a crime to hurt children in the name of religion, it is a crime for a religion to willfully continue to hurt children when they understand what policy is doing.

  These little demagods have went to far, they have overreached their supreme insanity. If you are a JW and your children gets hurt, the record to date will give you a basis to sue their pants off. You see wt policy has changed, the only difference is, wt will be paying out far more in lawsuits by defending current bad policy than making needed adjustments. When the first one goes down in court, they will be drawn and quartered. There may come a time when lawyers advertize for JW molestation victims as it will be like shooting fish in a barrel. Wt attorneys are "motion" lawyers, if you get them into an actual trial they cannot defend their way out of a wet paper sack. When that is discovered it will be a shark feeding frenzy.

  The arrogance continues to amaze me, for an organization that preaches so much about humility they seem to not practice humilty when it comes to issues involving children. Some have compared it to the wizard of oz, personally I see no kindly little old man running the wizard, I see something far more sinister, evil and self serving.

  Now to change to subject, as I have lost all JW family I am open for adoption and adoptees. It is time to start a "real" family based on unconditional love. What is that scripture about fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers? The fake ones are all gone now it is time to find a real family. As I finished the last sentence the radio started playing "with arms wide open" by creed. Perhaps that sums it up best.

  My letter to the editor,

  Dear Sir,

  On 8-16-02 the Paducah Sun reported on page 3A certain comments by Lee Stockwell regarding my disfellowshipment from Jehovah's Witnesses. Mr. Stockwell made the statement that "the allegations of local child molestation are groundless, and he questioned other allegations, calling Bowen devious."

  These comments are slanderous and completely not true. A local member of the Draffenville Congregation confessed to me that he had committed acts that left no doubt that he was a child molester. This is a matter of record as the home office in based on an investigation that I was part of, removed this man as an elder in the congregation on the results of his confession and internal church documents. The problem was as elders we were forbidden to inform anyone in the congregation that he was a child molester, including the mans own wife. When an allegation was raised that this same man was molesting yet another child, I was informed by Watchtower Legal to leave it in Gods hands and not report to the police. I chose to not follow those instructions, yet it was for that reason I came to the conclusion Jehovahs Witnesses protect pedophiles.

  Second, regarding my statement to the congregation, Mr. Stockwell commented, "He's just trying to antagonize, to provoke some kind of conflict." My remarks were to proclaim my innocence of false charges brought against me. These charges were not only unproven, but I was forbidden my right to present witnesses and further written proof of committing no sin against God. I have never tried to antagonize or cause conflict in the Draffenville congregation, though I have been attacked repeatedly by sermons to the congregation to give members false information about me as well as remarks made to media by the Public Information Department of Jehovah's Witnesses.

  I find these statements to be slanderous and unfounded, therefore I formerly request Mr, Stockwell retract his comments to the Paducah Sun and make an apology to the congregation and myself for his slanderous remarks.
