My mom died.

Hi Noni , my Condolences on the loss of your Mom .
I'm British and , l suppose , a Royalist. I too feel very sad about the Queen's death . She was a constant in all our lives, the one person always " there " . I'm 66 and my own Mum died a few years ago .
Maybe seeing and hearing how loved Her Maj was by her children makes you sad that you didn't have that with your Mom .
It's probably had that effect on anyone whose relationship with a parent wasn't as they would have liked . You aren't on your own in that respect.

Actually Tamuff is ok . You very rarely hear of any incidents especially not stabbings. There are enough Tamworth social media sites to ensure that stuff gets round .
The big hoo ha of late has been some travellers around the area.
You are still very welcome to attend our 5pm sung Evensong service . If you came then l think that you would agree that it's most agreeable

I have to disagree Punky . Looking at the State of America right now Blighty is wonderful.
Compared to many countries we are Paradise. We have roofs over our heads , food every day , education and healthcare. Millions can only dream of that .
Yes we have our problems , every country does but l don't think that ours are as bad as many .

NO ONE EVER SAID that the vaccine would prevent covid or stop it's spread. It reduced the effects. Less deaths , fewer hospitalisations . Hospitals were crammed with patients on ventilators thus beds for other patients weren't available.
Yes people are still catching it but the effects have been no where near as bad and far fewer deaths and hospitalisations are occurring
I refer again to America and the much higher rates of death among the GOP states where the uptake on vaccination was much lower.
Here in Blighty death rates ( from covid) have consistently dropped as more and more people have been vaccinated.
Interestingly l have heard of a few people feeling unwell for a time after being jabbed but no one dying.

Bettyhumpter thank you . Vaccines haven't wiped out polio., smallpox , child deaths from measles have they ? Polio was an awful plague on society ( literally) . Only the use of vaccines eradicated it .
What short memories people have . Measles was a killer at one time . Now it's a week off school and some spots . Because of the child vaccination programmes .
All the people on here be grateful if your parents had the sense to have you vaccinated against these one time killers.
A few years ago some parents refused to get children vaccinated and that resulted in children being hospitalised for what should have been minor illnesses. This was because of the rumour mill Fb , Twitter etc . Doctors had to campaign again to stop this.

i'm speaking from the uk.. with the lack of belief in god/s, i'm wondering if all the seeming (note: i said seeming!
), deification of people like greta thunberg, george floyd and celebs amongst others, if people who have no real belief system, are filling the gap left by god with people?.

Mike , you really should be listening to Stan here . As an elder , even a PIMA , elder , you should know how hard they come down on people who disobey the rules .
You haven't made any comment about my observations concerning the video . Is this because you can't rebut my points .
I wouldn't give medical advice to anyone. I am not a trained healthcare worker, it would not be my place to do that .Neither is it yours or the GBs
. I am not a JW nor ever have been . Their opinions don't matter to me personally at all . It seems to me that your anti vax campaign is more about bringing the Watchtower down so why not just leave?
I noticed that you said that you had a pregnant wife and YOU chose to go against the GBs direction. Didn't your wife get any say in the matter ?
I say again if you are so convinced that the GB are not led by Jehovah ( on which we do agree ) why not leave ?
You haven't answered my question about all of the world's governments being in cahoots over this vaccine scandal. Is that really happening?
Also what about my statement that as in the population at large the women dying from covid are mainly the unvaccinated. Another co-ordinated lie ?
Also the hugely disproportionate amount of unvaccinated people dying in red states. Any vaccine does carry some risk, that is not disputed. However the risk of dying from covid is far greater .

No , l am not and never have been a JW . I asked because l couldn't make out what denomination of Christian you are and whether that had any bearing on your anti vax position.
I watched the video and did not see a u turn just what seemed to confusion. To say u turn is stretching it .
What did stand out for me was that the first paragraph shown said that pregnant women should be offered any SUITABLE vaccine.
The rest of what was shown was only about the Pfizer vaccine , saying that it wasn't suitable. Other vaccines are available. As the chap cherry picked what he showed us we didn't get a clear picture of what was actually being said in the report. He picked out bits that supported the content of his broadcast.
To recap it was the Pfizer vaccine which was said to not be suitable and the advice was to offer pregnant women a suitable vaccine. I see no u turn there.
The NHS website is still recommending that pregnant women get vaccinated, l see no u turn there. Just the advice to use a suitable vaccine.
The website also says that as with the general population the deaths among pregnant women are mostly among the unvaccinated.
This is clear when viewing the death rates in different American states. The Republican anti vax states saw much higher death rates than other states.
Did all the world governments socialist , communist, fascist get together and plan this worldwide con on the general population? I don't think so and that would have to be the case as every government worldwide wide has implemented a vaccine programme.
