we seem to have had an influx of religiots - the people who want to tell us all about how we / the wts / whoever are wrong, wrong, wrong about everything and how right they are.

they obviously have special insight, or voices (probably voices, right?

) telling them the real truth.. as proof, there is inevitably a wall of random scripture references and quotes.. sorry, but we're not here for that.

Thanks Syd , that is pretty much the image l get when mention is made of Evangelical Christians.

I saddens me that clever, unscrupulous people get money or power by running Evangelical mega churches.

Of course people often view all Christians through the lens of Evangelical Christianity.

Riley , l felt quite depressed by your comments about Evangelical Christians.

Are you American? , the use of the word Evangelical makes me think so . In the UK that word isn't used much .

As a member of the Anglican church I've not found that people think that they are experts on vaccines or the Ukraine . I and my Anglican friends all chose to be vaccinated but that was purely our choice.

We regularly pray for peace in the Ukraine, which is not a bad thing surely. In fact on our news sheet the wording is

" please pray for

All those, on both sides, involved in the war in Ukraine, that sense will prevail "

Better stop now , for fear of sending anyone to Zzzzzzzz .

LUHE when my late husband was at school one of his PE teachers , a fit man in his 20s , just dropped down dead . It was later realised that he had been born with a heart defect which had not been previously detected.

A 46 yr old can die from cancer or a stroke or a myriad of natural causes.

apparently, joe biden will be seeking re-election for another term in the white house.. this, despite a recent poll showing that 70% of people don't want him to run again.. biden just has to be the worst president i've seen.

his gaffes, over-relience on a prompter, and, more than any other president, his refusal to answer journalists' questions, all go to make him top of the list in terms of bad presidents.. it will certainly provide entertainment, if nothing else..

No my church doesn't approve of abortions in general. However we don't try to force our beliefs on everyone.

When 12 yr old rape victims are forced to give birth. When women are forced to give birth to dead babies that doesn't seem like loving people.

I don't recall ever reading that Jesus or any of the early church leaders ever talked about forcing non believers into behaving in a certain way .

All the letters giving instructions were written to people who were already believers.

The states banning abortions and books, stopping school meals etc are all run by Republicans. You don't think that a Republican government wouldn't make that nationwide ?

If those things are indicative of Republican priorities then Heaven help America .
