Tonus I thought that there were always two different Watchtowers . Comments on here puzzled me so l asked the question and was told that the study one is different from the less controversial public issue .

From this site l became aware that the Watchtower that is sold to the public is very different to the study Watchtower. I also found out about Theocratic Warfare so l tested it out.

I was talking to two JW ladies many years ago and , pointing to the Watchtower one of them was holding, asked " so this is what you use in your meetings at the Kingdom Hall ? "

The older lady immediately answered yes . The other lady must have seen my face and quickly said " no the one we use to study is different "

It was only because l obviously knew differently that l got the truth.

One incident that was upsetting was while talking to another JW at my door l mentioned this and quoted the Scripture about Satan being the father of all lies and asked how she felt about that. She literally ran from my door crying. I had obviously touched a nerve and l suppose cognitive dissonance came into play .

She knew l was correct, she couldn't deny the Scripture but couldn't face that the Org. could be wrong .

Are we living in the LAST DAYS?

are we living in the prophetic last days that will climax into armageddon?

if this is true then how long should it take?

as jw saw it, wt compared timing to within a generation using 70 ad as a parallel.

Sue , because of fallen human nature the world has always been basically rotten. No difference now , it was the same when Jesus was alive . Like l said He happily mixed with sinners, He loved them and came to die for them ( and us ) . He wasn't judgemental therefore neither should we be judgemental.

We are charged with preaching the good news that Jesus died to pay the price for all our sins . We are not charged with telling some people that their sins are worse than other people's. Neither are we to adopt a holier than thou attitude. Paul called himself the worst of sinners all his life and very few of us get to do what Paul did .

I have noticed that when you encounter comments or advice that you don't want to hear you start a new thread. Why did you come on here and ask for advice only to ignore it all ?

Sue , oh dear, oh dear . I have just put a comment on your thread about your disfellowshipping .

I can now see why you are thinking of getting reinstated. You have the JW mindset through and through.

Didn't Jesus himself mix with sinners? Aren't we warned about being judgemental? The speck in someone else's eye etc?

They really have done a full brain washing job on you haven't they . You wrote on the other thread that you had lost your relationship with Jehovah, presumably because you fully equate the WT with Jehovah. News flash, they ain't the only, if at all , way to have a relationship with the Saviour.

Anyone who knows me on here will know that l am not normally so blunt in my comments. However you really need a good mental and spiritual shake up and help to break free from the Org's grasp.

I said in my other post get some knowledge and facts from INDEPENDENT research. In doing that honestly ask yourself what the Watchtower is so terrified of people finding out . They are terrified because any kind of independent thought or research is utterly discouraged.

I've not read all of the comments so apologies if l repeat something already said.

I have never been a JW l am a member of the Church of England , which is Anglican . I came onto this forum many years ago to learn more about Watchtower. Org .

I had spoken at length to JWs who knocked my door , something which l expect surprised and dismayed them in equal measure . Dismayed because l did often find fault in some of their scriptural reasoning .

I have learned so much from this forum. Not least the JW propensity to lie ( Theocratic Warfare) to gloss over the true nature of much of their teaching to unsuspecting possible members.

I have actually caught JWs out in lies when they didn't realise that l knew better than what l was being told.

That alone should put anyone off from being part of an organisation that needs to lie to get members.

Did you have a Christian faith before joining the Watchtower ? If so maybe do some independent research ( something that the Watchtower actively discourages!! ) and look at options . I would say don't rush into anything, definitely not trying for reinstatement, until you have more knowledge and facts at your disposal.

Stoke Poges ? Are you telling me that it actually exists? I thought that it was just myth like El Dorado.

I remember some people thinking that Russia was where Armageddon would begin . Surely we should simply live our lives as if tomorrow was to be our last day and not indulge in idle speculation. The Bible warns against such things .
