Yes, I think there is some type of remuneration. Check this F.E.M.A. website out. It mentions all that FEMA pays for, facilities are one of the items. https://www.fema.gov/disasters/coronavirus/vaccine-support/vaccine-center

i'm doing a little background research for a novel.
what is the craziest thing you heard a witness say was demonized, and what did they do about it?.
Check out Kevin McFree's Dubtown on YouTube, Season 1 episodes 26 & 27 are about demons. They are hilarious but so true. I miss Kevin's videos!
in a recent turn of events, i found myself at a jw social gathering on zoom (supporting my pimi wife, while among mostly jws whom i don't know and a handful of old friends who don't know i'm inactive) that just so happened to also be joined by garrett losche and his wife.
sorry to disappoint but i had absolutely no interaction with him and have nothing interesting to report about it.
i'm just sharing this because i can't believe i even got that close to maybe chatting with him, despite being a closeted apostate.. there were about 300 people in the zoom meeting, all having been directly invited.
When Gerrit Lösch visited Texas in the 90's he was wearing $300 Bruno Magli shoes (O. J. Simpson wore them too) and expensive designer sunglasses! So G.B. dresses to the nines for a long time. They dress like stars Don't believe the WT from a year or two ago that said they want to be treated like the average Witness. The GB wants your adulation and admiration! They wrote a song about it. I think it's song #25 or 26. "A Special Possession"

A sister in Illinois pulled the hood latch while driving on the interstate, thinking it was the emergency brake. The hood popped up and broke the windshield and bent the hood. Her father who was an elder, blamed it on Satan and the demons!
Sounds in the attic were attributed to demons. Turns out it was cats running around and making sounds like a crying baby!
One sister had chronic back problems. A couple of "elderettes" went by to do really what amounted to an exorcism. The two "elderettes" were sure that it must be demons. The problem persisted so a couple of elders went by to pray with the sister. It turned out that the cushion/discs between her vertebra were bulging.
It's interesting that JW's say to call on Jehovah to expel demons. In the Bible, Jesus disciples expelled them in the name of Jesus. I told a sister that when one of her Bible students supposedly was having trouble with demons, and she looked at me like I was crazy.
i overheard mrs eyeslice listening to '2021 governing body update 3' yesterday.
apparently, they have started ditching foreign language groups and congregations as these weren't exactly roping anyone in.
of course there is a positive spin on all this - '4,000 plus elders freed up to serve in local language congregations' and of course there has been immensely positive feedback from various branches about the benefits of this.. i suspect though there will be an awful lot of elders who were serving as king pins in these congregations who are going to have their noses put out by going back to local language congregations where they will barely be used.
It’s because many elders are getting up in age and some, like myself are stepping aside(resigning). The elders have as much congregation business/financial/legal to handle as they do spiritual. I know several elders in my area who are awake, PIMO, but can’t make a clean break right now because of the shunning policy.
For some foreign language was a way to get away. Now they are needed back in their old congregations because of shrinking numbers in the elder ranks
jehovah can't be your father in this life.
'they [jw members] address him prospectively as "our father.
jesus is not your mediator:.
I am a born in, third generation J W, elder for 25 + years, and i didn’t know J W teaching or belief that Jesus is not my Mediator until two years ago. It was while preparing the Memorial talk that I discovered this, and i had given the Memorial talk five or six times before. It’s not something that JW’s will tell you straightforwardly. Most don’t even know.
being pimo i attend the meetings regularly over zoom.
( i have to as my wife is a dyed -in - the wool, and stick-in-the mud pioneer witness.
i have no possibility of leaving as it would create havoc in my life and at 68 years of age i just don't want the hassle of having to cope with the ramifications of disassociating myself.
you may know that president joe biden canceled the permits for the xl canadian pipeline on his first day in office.
this was a controversial move, and there has been discussion and videos floating around the office where i work.
one of my co-workers showed a video of all the jobs being lost.
These tribes are in Utah and have nothing to do with the Keystone XL pipeline. Their complaint of Biden had to do with his 60 day leasing and permitting ban!

Eye opening in that there are facts that I either had forgotten or didn't know. This pipe line is not something new, and Biden has been involved with, both at the Senate level and as Vice President in the Obama administration. The Keystone pipeline was put on the board for construction as far back as the Bush administration. So there has been a multiplicity of research, studies and debates long before the president withdrew the permits.
Here are some things that people may not know.
1) There is already a pipeline that runs from Canada to Port Arthur, Tx. 2) Farmers, ranchers, American Indians, all that would stand to make profit from the pipeline, most, do not support it. Environmentalists are against it. Underground water supply could be polluted. As much as we like and need oil, we can't drink it. 3) Only 48% of Canadians support this 2nd pipeline(XL). This could mean that 52% are against or don't have an opinion on it. 4) Canada is on track to set record oil exports to the U.S via railcar and the existing Keystone pipeline that has been operational for years now. 5) Many of the jobs related to the construction of the pipeline are temporary. 6) The oil that would run through XL pipeline is a thicker corrosive crude that is extracted from the Canadian and Nebraska sands, that creates more pollution than normal oil operations.
These are a few of the points Anony Mous that I came across. Time magazine has an article from 2014 that is very informative also.
I don't have a dog in the fight, even though for over twenty years I owned a company whose profit margins were dependent on low oil and gas prices. So I am not against Capitalism or profit. I'm also aware of pollution of the planet, global warming, and a belief that man must strike a balance with the environment in order to survive. Don't get me wrong, I like getting into my big truck, turning up the a/c when it's hot, and pulling into the gas station and paying under $2 per gallon. But I'm willing to change if it means breathing fresh air and having clean drinking water!
The point that I wanted or tried to make is that sometimes we make snap judgements after only hearing one side of an issue. (I think Solomon gave counsel about not doing that). I was quite upset with Mr. Biden yesterday. Today, not so much.

This was a controversial move, and there has been discussion and videos floating around the office where I work. One of my co-workers showed a video of all the jobs being lost. After watching one of the videos, I was quite upset that the president would do this. Then I got to thinking, let me go back and do research and read articles about this pipeline. The research was eye opening. I'm not here to support or fight against the pipeline. I decided to research and read articles both for and against the Keystone XL pipeline, and a case could be made both for support or opposition of the pipeline.
It made me think about how I used to quote Watchtower articles as if they were the final authority, not doing any reading or research beyond what WT had written. Made me think too how my wife agreed that Christ is our Mediator until she read the WT articles saying that he is Mediator only for the 144K! I guess WT articles trumps/outweighs the Bible. The point for me is, if you go a source that supports a subject, all you get is information that supports that viewpoint. Makes sense? But to make informed, smart decisions, we must consider and weigh all of the data, research and information available, whether positive or negative. That's my rant for today! Take care.
