What i really look forward to though, is fundamentalists scoffing at the lack of "accuracy" in the movie rendering the biblical account. Lol.

Yeah there is no apologetics out of it. I forgot abotu the 7 of some species, which once again makes the housing, birthing, feeding, and transport of these animals completely ridiculous.
Consider how these animals would have been attached to the ark if there food source was there. Especially when they get out....at the top of Mt Ararat! They have to scale down the mountain to even somehow live a normal life.
I suppose they could have been talking about rabbits? They reproduce fast, and are delicious. But they eat green things, of which there would have been none.
My wife believes in a local event being described in the bible now, not a global one (whew). But even that leaves the story of this big, wooden, unseaworthy vessel, and its stories of animals. This I think is shaking her faith in the bible completely, because she is coming to believe it is a mythological story, not just a misinterpreted story. In some ways......I am coming to grips with that myself.

We were discussing blood a couple days ago. During that discussion something hit me.
So imagine this. A limited amount of animals supposedly enter the ark, and then through some kind of super-evolution create all of the variations we have today.
But RIGHT AFTER the ark landed, God told Noah that he could eat anything he wanted! With all of animalkind on one boat, if he decided to eat any animals, he was wiping out future species, even after they were put on the ark to repopulate the planet. How insane is that!
I just told her that maybe this is why there are no unicorns.

I have an honest question!
by FL_Panthers init's with regards to disfellowshipping.. is disfellowshipping a legal procedure?
like is there something i can use to prevent this from happening to me if it does happen.. no jokes about me being a bad little boy.

Hey. I will echo Angus Beefs comments. READ and STUDY as much as you can. It sounds like you only have afew "doubts" about the organization, and rather that you just want the freedom of a normal 23 year old. Well i can tell you, unless you really think for yourself, you won't really be free.
I have faded, and i have been able to keep friends. it has been a chess game I would not wish on anyone, but I realize eventually i may lose a couple. Fiortunately some of my closer friends are not super JW's.
You can be disfellowshipped at the word of two witnesses that you have sinned. If you just stop going to meetings.....no you cannot.
Think of it this way, it is better to be thought of as "weak" than as "evil" or a danger to congregational cleanliness.
And seriously........you guys let steve smith go.

In south america, mothers day is a big deal and is very much based around the virgin mary. I can kind of see that (when I was there is was damn near a religious holiday). But in the US and UK, it is really a hallmark holiday.
I guess an arguement could be made for unity worldwide regarding the holiday when so many religious traditions still exist surrounding it in high JW population areas.....but really who cares.
My kids will celebrate mothers day and God willing!......fathers day. Ha.

Just got a call from an elder
by nolongerconfused inso i faded over a year ago...i told the elders that if i needed them i would call them.
1 year and 3 months later, today, i get a call from an elder who used to be my good friend...he calls and i dont pick up..he leaves a voicemail, saying "hello ____, please call me back at 444-444-4444 whenever you can".
i was like wow, this has to be one of those calls to get inactive ones back to the memorial.

They are doing what they think is right, filling a task list of "weak ones". Just ignore it, unless it is a friend worth calling back to say hello. If he does the whole memorial thing, just be quite shocked and say "wait......did you just call me because memorial is coming up? Thats it!?" Then get off the phone and reiterate that if you want to talk to MR (not brother), so and so, that I will reach out.

Just to add one thought. Scientology also plays the same semantical game JWs do.
We donot force anyone to disconnect, is what they say. So anyone that does it, is doing it because that is their choice. SAME THING with JW's as recently as the 2013 convention, and numerous armchair apologists online.
