  Not a big fan of Evans.

  I do have to say I'm glad there will be a panel so different personalities are shown. I also hope they understand the weight that has been placed on their shoulders. I don't expect a massive "Exoddus" -see what I did there- of JWs leaving the Borg. I do hope it brings attention to thr destructive practices such as the 2 witness rule and the blood doctrine among many others.

  Of course, the fat guys upstairs will use it to keep their mind control over the millions of JWs stuck in the cult.

  Exactly.

  I don't plan on telling them anything other than I need a break and I won't even bother responding to their calls.

  The worst obstacle will be family. They're the main reason I can't just leave. It'll hurt them and they won't understand because this damn cult has them blinded completely. I hope it collapses soon, but who are we kidding. They're not going to. They have way too much money and lots of years of experience manipulating weak minds.

  it’s quite affirming to see the horrific material that they’re serving up at the convention this year.

  aside from blatant homophobia, the scenes at the end of the convention that are discussed on another thread stoop to new levels of fear mongering.

  it seems to occur to nobody inside the organisation that this kind of material could trigger fear, deprsssion, anxiety, stress.

  Yeah the whole time I'm thinking... Where did they get this rifles from? They were not just a random type, they were a very specific type of fire arms. It wasn't just two pieces of iron put together to make them look like guns, they were actual gun models. Where did they come from????

  I had to sign on just comment on this.

  Most donations. water, clothing, food, etc. have been donated by congregations around the TX area affected by Harvey. No funds, that I can see, have been donated or expensed by the WT. Food and everything else related has been supported by the local congregations that were not affected.

  It's just a money grab people. That's all.

  i am enraged..... two older sisters sold a property and gave the entire sales amount as donation to this printing corporation.

  how much is this corporation going to take from these poor people??

  these old ladies think they did a great and wonderful act towards wt as if it was given to god himself.

  It is extremely frustrating to see these things. So, now the financial burden is so much worse without that money.

  It's not a few thousand dollars, we're talking between $50k-$100k. That would've made their last days so much easier in terms of proper care and facilities.

  And the worst thing is that they feel they did such amazing thing for the society. Too stupid, not them but their actions for this publishing company that keeps getting richer and richer and taking from those who barely have anything.
