  My 20 year anniversary

  after being a jehovah's witness for 52 years, today marks my 20 year anniversary of being out of the borg!

  i turned in my letter of disassociation on september 18th 2001. it was read to the congregation on september 19th, my wife's birthday.

  of course the years have had its difficulties but it has also had many wonderful experiences and epiphanies.

  Not sure where I want to live!

  since covid have forced many stores not to be open 24 hours a day like wal-mart, etc…i do have one 24 hour kroger near my home.

  if you want to know where it is, message me but i might not tell you if you have not been here long enough or i feel that i can’t trust you yet.

  do you have 24 hour grocery stores near you?

  Are 24 hour stores really that important? We've always managed to plan shopping trips that correspond with normal opening hours ... even when they do happen to open 24x7.

  Where you live is a little like picking the "true" religion - how do you know you've picked the right one? You can't. It takes at least a year or two to really know an area, and there is a cost to changing, so you are limited in how many you can try.

  Some people will tell you that their city or neighbourhood is the greatest ever but they can't know the other places that would be better, so everything is subjective.

  What's more important is to be adaptable and accepting to make the best of wherever you are at the time.

  today people are are paying and cheering to see a man knocking the shit out of a woman.

  Y'know, Novak Djokovic could face off over 5 sets against Serena Williams. Sounds great.

  Except the women wouldn't last 5 sets, so would complain that they never won anything and would all be out in the early rounds (but still want to be paid the same).

  I read that Chris Evert, former no 1 womens player and 18 time Grand Slam winner, never ONCE won a match against her brother ... who wasn't even a professional player.

  If someone spends 20-30 years of their life as a man, then popping a few make-me-girlie pills doesn't change the fact that they have muscle mass and strength that is beyond what women can achieve.

  Yes, they may drop some level from where they were, but they will always be way ahead.

  In the same way that someone doping in the off season may be "clean" during the actual competition, but have already banked the gains to help them win.

  It's unfair competition and it sacrifices real women's ability to compete and achieve at the alter of the mentally deranged freak show that is gender studies bull-shittery.

  he has passed away i believe.

  he was about 24 and used to hang around the young boys.

  We had a guy in our hall that was very effeminate, and thinking back it was a shame because he wasn't included in things as far as I can remember and I think he ended up committing suicide. I've never understood why people torture themselves joining a group that condemns who they are.

  i’m personally for the vaccine, took two shots and would take a third if asked.

  but i know a friend of mine that doesn’t want to take the vaccine who works for the government and now is faced with this choice: get vaccinated or get laid off.

  i don’t agree with this measure as it is totalitarian and runs against my core belief in individual freedom.. now, with that being said, what i don’t understand is that my friend still won’t get vaccinated.

  Wait till it's "get vaccinated or we've disabled your bank accounts and now you can't buy food or pay for housing or heating"

  It's absolutely wrong and, most importantly, it doesn't help to convince anyone to get vaccinated!

  But I think any mandates should target government workers first. The problem is, so many branches of government have been granted exclusions, and if you say some group is excluded then the claim it's so very necessary quickly evaporates.

  Me neither, but Angharad has been a few times for events with her work and liked it. I think it's OK for a visit, because they are good at putting on a show / it's good value (if you don't fall for gambling), but it doesn't appeal to me and living there? I think I'd hate it.

  There are some interesting places to visit around about though but the city itself seems just fake and sleazy.

  That's 'cause you're an idiot. HE is clearly more muscular than nearly any woman you'll see and will carry that advantage built up through years as a male into the fight.

  All human adults, when they were still babies in the womb were for a period of time anatomically of ambiguous/neutral gender (with mostly female looking external genitalia)

  You basically have ONE case of someone actually competing, and "qualifying for" a team event is very VERY different to dominating and winning a competition.

  So one outlier, one anomaly. Not a convincing argument IMO.

  The fact is that the overwhelming majority of transgenders in sports are MEN competing unfairly against REAL WOMEN.

  They are not women and have no business taking places that should go to women.
