A group of 136 countries set a minimum global tax rate of 15% for big corporations
by Disillusioned JW ina group of 136 countries set a minimum global tax rate of 15% for big corporations.
that is a major goal accomplished by the biden administration.
seehttps://www.wsj.com/articles/countries-agree-to-global-deal-to-curb-tax-avoidance-11633709979 .. if corresponding legislation gets passed into law in the usa it will be much harder for corporations doing business in the usa to move their operations out of the usa to avoid paying their fair share of taxes.

We should just keep creating money out of thin air to pay for everything until the whole System fails since that’s where we are headed anyway.
Exactly. If there are no consequences to their money printing, as they claim, then please print my tax money and use that.
FedUpJW: that is a BRILLIANT analogy to how taxation currently works, except it misses the money that is handed to those who don't pay anything into the system.
Of course, any tax cuts shouldn't benefit them - why should it? But then the howls of "unfair, unfair!" will begin.
Never once does anyone in government suggest that they could spend less.

They often don't pay taxes, at all, which leads to the huge anomaly of small local family businesses paying more in taxes than global multinationals that have earned $billions.
Then, they payout millions in executive and bonus pay. Little of it ends up being paid in taxes, because there are multiple "rules" along the way they can use to offset or negate it as "income".
Anyone that thinks they are going to have a retirement hasn't looked at the US money supply recently. Whatever you have already saved or might save in future will be halved by inflation and money printing. The stock market prices reflect the fact that the system is sloshing with money, and you need exceptional returns to keep up or stand still, which normally means people taking on higher levels of risk.
All the people paying for the boomers luxury retirements and the ever growing and lucrative government workers pensions, will see nothing for themselves and likely will see the purchasing power of their own savings eroded to a fraction of what they should have been and were probably planned.
Where do you stash your money to retain it's future purchasing power? Gold doesn't do it, government bonds are dog shit, and tech companies can't grow forever (and all the real gains are had by "accredited investors" which discriminates against the regular public).

All the recently released data dumps for offshore accounts show that the rules don't apply to all, even when they know they are being broken.
If a government's options are getting 5-12% or nothing, they will go for the 5-12%, what exactly happens if they don't? That's right - jack shit.
This is all paper and nonsense to keep the plebs thinking that the game is fair when it obviously isn't.
Large corporations will still have advantageous treatment because the politicians are easy to buy and nothing is ever really done even when the rules are broken.

Differences, on average, between men and women
by LoveUniHateExams inquite bizarrely, there are people trying their level best to blur the lines between man and woman, male and female.. so, i thought it a fairly good idea to list the differences, on average, between men and women.. ok, starting with the most obvious .... women have a vulva, a vagina, and internal gonads (ovaries); men have a penis and external gonads (testes).. women get pregnant, give birth and breastfeed their babies; men do none of those things.. men are taller than women.. men have greater upper-body strength than women.
men have greater bone density and percentage of muscle mass than women.. women live longer than men (this is partly due to life choices and behaviour and partly due to genetics).. men have higher testosterone levels than women.. men heal more quickly from physical injury than women.. the sexual dynamics between men and women tend to be different, too.
re sexual selection, women typically have their choice of the most suitable men.

Pope Francis on Wednesday expressed his personal shame and that of the Church at the sexual abuse of children by French Catholic clergy, after the scale of the problem was laid bare in a devastating report.
Words are meaningless, and cheap ... cheaper than actually doing something, like paying compensation.
How about this simple formula. Take everything the Church owns and divide it among the victims. The end.
Then I want to see some old-school French justice ... they must have some guillotines around somewhere, right?

This could only happen with government support, it can only continue with government support, it only goes unpunished with government support.
At this point, how can anyone stay a part of such a sleazy, shitty, organization? Walk away, then we can execute whoever is left.

One final point: USA COVID deaths: 719,933. Australia COVID deaths: 1,346. What USA does is its business, but we are generally happy with what we have been able to prevent.
Absolute counts are meaningless. The only measure that counts is per 100,000 or something that allows comparison between different countries.
Even then, you have to take into account the locality and population density - because people spread out across a massive area is very different to the same number living in a small apartment block. The counts for both countries need to be broken down by area and compared separately to ensure it's like-for-like.
Then you have to look at population and obesity levels. Does Australia have as many obese black people as the US for instance? Both have high correlation with severe COVID outcomes and low vaccination rates in the US.
The fact is that Australia has been authoritarian and used brutal treatment of people who simply don't believe the hype. If so few have died, as you say, they why the heavy handed treatment? Don't tell me that it "proves it's worked" because that assumes all these people who suddenly protest are all masked up and isolated the rest of the time and that makes no sense.
I also don't believe any claim where they say exactly who caught COVID from who, because if that were doable then it would be easy to contain. The fact is they never know who you caught it from, it's all just probabilities and potential.
Leftists use any excuse to impose their authoritarianism, it's their nature so if they are given the opportunity they lurch toward it, COVID is the current excuse, the new "jew".

They think Armageddon will bail them out on the mortgage so they won't have to pay it off, but in reality they will simply die in debt -- but at least they won't have to pay it off.
Hopefully they are a childless couple. Not that you should rely on your parents passing anything on to you, but to have them live in a financially reckless way due to an outside influence that they chose to follow without thinking is likely disheartening and something many only discover after their parents pass away. Or worse, will become a burden to their children in later life.
For any boomer to die in debt represents a massive failure in good life choices, because they really were handed a favourable system (to them) on a plate.
