I think every congregation did, but then I think every group of a few dozen people or more tend to as it's just human nature.

Why some are religious or not?
by Vidqun intime article: several years before pope francis became pope of the catholic church in 2013, psychologists began to debunk the idea that being more educated meant a person was less likely to be religious.
instead, a new social psychology theoryone that had little to do with education levelarose.
according to dual process theory, people are either deliberative or intuitive when they make decisions.

The problem with any theory of why people are religious is it can't differentiate between the true-believers and those who see it as an opportunity for networking, selling and whatever.
The split between those groups may be down to education which could explain why there isn't a difference in religiousity (a word?) that can be seen - they are there for different reasons.
But the way obviously intelligent people and often sceptical people who question other things, can still be believers never ceases to astonish me.

WHO finally admits that the shit don't work.
by pistolpete inthe main reason most got the vaccine was to protect others.
now they’re being told they can spread it just as easily as the unvaccinated.

Anyone hear about the makers of Hydrochloroquine being murdered?
https://www.reuters.com/article/us-canada-death-apotex-idUSKBN1FF2G2
Not necessarily a conspiracy, but heck, they sure make it easy don't they?
Who doesn't think that the WHO and UN (apparently now co-defendants) and the pharma industry, with $billions at stake and unprecedented government control, wouldn't go so far as offing people?

Well, you posted the same topic 3+ times, so who know what you're bleating about. But hey, make accusations before establishing facts why don't you?
Don't expect to be able to post if you make work for me.

Root is about a black slave. the entire story is about the color of his skin and origin from africa as this is the very reason he is a slave in the first place. The character arc is dependant on the color of his skin.
Well, it could be a modern social commentary highlighting how modern-day racism targets whites.
But if the slaves were all black (they weren't) then the non-slaves must have been non-black, right? So programmes where all the aristocrats are cast as black characters are equally wrong and unrealistic, right?
So, I'm asking: What character trait or story is dependant on Bond being white? this is an honest question. I guess there could be something, I'm just wondering what?
To be believable, he has to be white. He wouldn't be in the social circles / position he was at the time if black.
Why couldn't Harry Potter be a Chinese girl? Because he wasn't written that way, and why should he be?

If bond can be black then Mathew Macconaughey can be Martin Luther King.
Exactly. They should remake Roots, but with an all white or asian cast.
Ooh, edgy ... but can you imagine the screaming that would happen?!
Half the country is so thick they'd probably believe that's was history.

Biden - Inappropriate Toucher and Killer of Children
by Simon inny times report on the drone strike in afghanistan - they killed an aid worker and his family including 7 children.. it was done as a political stunt so biden could claim they struck back at a terrorist (although it was a suicide bomb attack).. the attack was due to his incompetence and the drone strike done to distract from it.. his inappropriate touching of young girls now seems tame compared to his murder of young children.. he should be prosecuted.
he should be jailed.
he won't be, because us politics.. if you voted for him you're a shit that supports an inappropriate toucher and killer of children..

I voted for Biden in the USA presidential election
Of course you did, people like him rely on there being people like you.
and I am deeply saddened by the drone attack which resulted in the death of ten civilians, including an aid worker and seven children.
Don't vote for incompetent people who have spent their political career backing unnecessary wars and been VP to the drone-striker in chief and then pretend to care when they do exactly what they always do.
I hate ALL wars. I want Earth to be a place where warfare between humans no longer takes place. That hope of mine will very probably never become a reality, but I hope for it anyway.
Nice speech. But like a fool, you vote for the people who tickle your earbuds with promises that they will make your Disney dreams come true.

A single Bible verse that explains everything—hope even to the disfellowshipped
by Abraham1 in"through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for;.
through the fear of the lord evil is avoided.” (proverb 16:6, niv).
sin can be cancelled [yə·ḵup·par] by acts of goodness such as kindness [bə·ḥe·seḏ] and faithfulness, and sin can be avoided in loving remembrance [ū·ḇə·yir·’aṯ] of god.

Missed opportunity of Jehovah’s Witnesses
by Abraham1 injesus had foretold that people of "last days" would “faint out of fear” because of things such as “sea-level rise’ as part of “signs of last days” in luke 21:25. bible translators—including new world translation of jehovah’s witnesses—missed the real meaning as they translated it as “roaring of the sea and its agitation.” (https://www.jw.org/en/library/bible/nwt/books/luke/21/).
more careful translations such as niv put it: “roaring and tossing of the sea.” (https://biblehub.com/luke/21-25.htm) word for “tossing” is σάλου (salou), from saino; i.e., billow,” (swell outwards).
thus underlying thought is like balloon swelling, or water flowing outwards, as though ready to roll over, thus points to the modern terminology “sea-level rise.” biblos interlinear translation (int:) translates it as “of [the] sea and rolling surge.” “rolling sea.” (a greek lexicon to the new testament, edward robinson (d.d., page 416) (a greek lexicon to the new testament on the basis of dr. robinson ... by c. robson).. jesus’ original use of the wording “tossing of the sea” is another way of saying “sea-level would rise” as a result of pollution of air.

How is that possible? The climate people told us over 20 years ago that there would be no ice within 10 years, ... so what exactly is going to melt?
Apart from their credibility.
