i want to create a new site to help people leaving the wts.. the idea is that it will be curated content of articles and videos on specific subjects such as how to fade, how to handle family, personal experiences of leaving, mistakes to avoid, plus practical life matters impacted by the wts such as how to create or rebuild a career, planning for retirement, getting counselling, making friends etc.... the idea is that it should be lots of voices to share the love and promote lots of people's channels so it becomes a more effective resource (hopefully there will always be something informative and appealing to the people visiting).. if you have a youtube channel that you would like featured, or maybe have some specific video or series that would suit, i'd be happy to include them.. likewise, if you have a subject you'd like to write about and can share some practical knowledge and guidance on, or have a life-story you'd like to share because your experience could benefit others, please let me know.. i bought a domain and setup some placeholder content:.
https://jw.watch.
please message me or post here if you have any questions or ideas..
Exactly, why follow their rules, their process? Does anyone imagine that is there for your benefit instead of their own?
This is the kind of thing I want to document. That people have choices, that they don't have to follow a script someone else has given them.
Tear it up, you make your own rules. Make it hard for them to screw you over, don't make it convenient by doing what they want you to!

Yes, it's a losing argument to blame the WTS for shunning.
First of all, they can't really shun you. Is the Governing Body that never spoke to you not going to speak to you? Only your friends and family can shun you, people that you care about.
So put it on them, don't give them an "easy out". If they can blame the WTS and if you also blame the WTS ... well you've agreed with them that they have to and can. Instead, tell them that they don't have to, that the WTS has no power. That it is completely up to them what they do ... and you'll judge them for it.
Don't reenforce the belief that the WTS is in control and the people have to do what the WTS tells them. Remove that thought, introduce the idea that they can chose what to do.

Neither Watchtower's leaders nor Lloyd are noticeably affluent. Yet both lead relatively leasurely lifestyles, enjoying world travel & people keen to meet them arranging and paying for their accomodation. Not forgetting never having to fight their way through the rush hour traffic to get to work.
To be fair, the governing body at least run a comb through their hair before going on camera.

Honestly, why? Who does any "anti" site really help? Why become the exact thing the WTS wants you to be?
Do exJWs really need their ears tickled so much?
This wallowing in being "anti" is counter productive and doesn't help anyone IMO
We want to focus on healing and living your life, not grief and resentment.

I wonder if the fees Patreon takes goes up on the smaller pledges or if it is a set amount?
It looks like they take a platform fee which is a percentage (so 10 x $1 vs 1 x $10 would be the same) but they also take a payment processing fee. These are typically around 3% + $0.30c so would be a higher proportion of smaller transactions.
I've seen other patreons that cap the number they allow (ha, imagine Lloyd ever saying "no thanks, no more contributions"? LOL) and they normally have churn / gaps opening at the end of the month. Seems to be how subscriptions are done where people sign-up for a billing month, and apparently it makes sense to join at the start otherwise you pay for a whole month and only get a few days of benefits.

I'm finding this guys videos are really interesting and informative.
Some of the characteristics are really uncanny, he even mentions the kind of "excuses" that this type of person would make for cheating on a spouse, and how they may have a complete lack of morality and fail to see why something is wrong.
Also, they see other people as being useful to them, or deserving of their malice.
It's like he's talking about you-know-who.

Sorry, let's not give Lloyd extra views - not going to host his videos, however cringe and laughable.

There's really no need to post gross and graphic descriptions of sexual acts.
This isn't a Lloyd book.
