Is burying someone on a golf course tacky?
by GabeAthouse intrump's first wife and mother of his children died recently.
they had her buried on his golf course.
do you think this is tacky or a savvy business move since it'll now get them some tax breaks as a cemetery?.

Yes, 461 now, even that bump (maybe from the Leah Remini video?) ... which means the flippening is upon us - this topic will soon have more pages than he has patreons!

Linking documents between various devices
by Wonderment ini would like to know how some of you link your various computers, tablets, phones and the like?
do you network them?
or, do you use secure shell (ssh)?

It's easier to sync everything to something else (like a cloud service).
For docs, Google Docs / Drop Box / iCloud etc...

Up to what they want - it's their family & their land. One thing I know for sure is that reality probably doesn't match what has been reported.
If it was "upright, sticking out of the 9th hole" I think it would be odd.

Who needs a rebuttal? Do people really think that unless someone is there to say "don't believe this" that people just will?
If you're tuning in to watch a rebuttal, you really don't need it! You could and should be doing something else. You already lost time listening to the WTS, don't waste more time listening to things about the WTS!

TV and the Media
by punkofnice ini look at tv and the media as all fiction.. i wonder if the media is now just a tool to cauterise the brain and zombify us?
i'm sure the uk's bbc does.
it seems to be a tool to brainwash people to buy into latest agenda or trend that must be followed.....or you're an outcast like a disfellowshipped one.

They don't even try to hide their insane bias and nutty agendas anymore, it's blatant propaganda for the latest crazy belief.

The suckers are the patrons who jump ship last.
The suckers are all the patrons who ever were.

Family division
by joao inthe worst part of my experience of getting rid of the shackles of wt is not the shunning.
i can live with that.
if people don't want to talk to me, there are many more who do!

It's a slow process of trying to wean them off the "drug" of the WTS and replace it with something better.
Of course you can't guarantee that you will ... but you can enjoy trying, and thinking up things to do that strengthen the family experience so that it hopefully pushes out the need for them to dedicate so much time to the religion.
Good luck.

ANTI-DEPRESSANT medication for the last 60 years now proved to be based on poorly supported false theory
by Terry in"the chemical imbalance theory of depression is still put forward by professionals, and the serotonin theory, in particular, has formed the basis of a considerable research effort over the last few decades.
the general public widely believes that depression has been convincingly demonstrated to be the result of serotonin or other chemical abnormalities, and this belief shapes how people understand their moods, leading to a pessimistic outlook on the outcome of depression and negative expectancies about the possibility of self-regulation of mood""read: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1m92v7hb0njm2mnvnu6nv0kpnkzloe-_k4crh_wphpti/edit?usp=sharing.

told that in some patients it can cause suicidal thoughts
So many times the drugs can cause way worse symptoms of the things they are supposed to "cure" (or suppress)
in the US a doctor gives whatever the customer will pay for
Doctors prescribe what the drug companies pay them most to push, and they pay lavishly.
No different to financial advisors suggesting you put your money in mutual funds that pay them the most commission.
Fundamentally, every profession is made of people and people are always the same - selfish and driven by their own gain. If you believe your doctor is some holy saint who's only looking out solely for your best interest, you may need to look closer.
The best case for you is that they happen to get the most or equal kickback from the drug company that happens to make the drug that best suits your condition.

Mega Millions Jackpot…
by Biahi inin the us, our mega millions lottery jackpot has reached over 1billion dollars!
what would you do if you won?
i think i’d run public service announcements on television, alerting people of the dangers of the wt cult, among other things.

1 billion dollars? That's a lot of hookers and blow!
Seriously, that would be life-altering for many many people in your life - I think a nice off-grid retreat somewhere in the mountains would be nice. Kinda like a bond-villain setup, you know the thing :)
I'd probably sink a ridiculous amount on an animal rescue / sanctuary.
