Biden running in 2024 🤣
by LoveUniHateExams ini've filed this under news and world events, although i could've posted it under entertainment, lol.
apparently, joe biden will be seeking re-election for another term in the white house.. this, despite a recent poll showing that 70% of people don't want him to run again.. biden just has to be the worst president i've seen.
his gaffes, over-relience on a prompter, and, more than any other president, his refusal to answer journalists' questions, all go to make him top of the list in terms of bad presidents.. it will certainly provide entertainment, if nothing else..

For the simpletons out there.
Someone bragging about doing something doesn't mean they did that thing. Even if they did, the consent part matters.
The rape claim was a total invention, literally copied word-for-word straight out of an episode of Law and Order.
That the dems repeatedly manipulate the "justice" system and other depts of the government for their own political shenanigans is the scariest thing right now. If you can't see that and a shiver go down your spine, I pity you, but you deserve to live in the world you vote for.
One day that machine will turn on you if you step our of line.

Oh yeah, an election coming up. You know what that means?
Any minute now there'll be some "racist" incident. It won't be racist, it will be some piece-of-shit black thug with 50 priors that get's shot by a cop, but it will be what they need to dust off the BLM marching band.
All the dumb asses will be out on the street on command and their
brown-shirts, I mean Antifa, there to burn things down.Martial law? There will be some reason for the election to be handled some special way, and Biden will get a surge of votes right near the end to win, however big the lead against him.
I don't know why they don't just go full banana-republic at this point and declare he has 100% of the votes while collecting everyone's guns.

City! City! City!
by Simon inwon the premiership.. won the fa cup.. won the champions league.. that's the treble baby.
so amazing after we spent 44 years without anything.
no more "noisy neighbours".. now let's do it again, back-to-back, and achieve new heights - more consecutive premierships than anyone has every done before would be enough..

What does this mean? Does soccer not have a single winner take all championship at the end of the season like The Super Bowl or NBA championship?
These are the final winners in each competition ...
The premier league is a season long league. All 20 teams play each other twice (home and away) with 3 points for a win and 1 for a draw. Whoever has highest points tally, or best goal difference if equal, wins. Unlike US sports, the bottom teams get relegated and the top teams of the lower league get promoted. It's possible to drop down more than one tier, City once got relegated, then relegated again (so we were in the 3rd tier of English football!)
The FA cup is a knockout competition open to all league clubs (there are 4 leagues in the UK*). The larger clubs tend to win, but not always - some non-league teams have good runs, sometimes there are some shock "giant killer" games where a big club gets clobbered by a lower league one.
The champions league is where the top handful of clubs from each national league compete in a group stage initially, then a knockout competition for the last 16 (same format as the world cup).
There is a new club world cup, that is something else City could potentially win this season.
Why winning the treble is such an achievement is the number of matches played if you're in all these extra cup / knockout competitions. Imagine a team playing in an extra NFL league in the same year ...
* fun fact: Manchester United were the only previous English club to win the treble back in 1999/2000 ... at the time City were just clawing their way out of the 3rd tier league, which is how far we'd fallen. No one would have imagined then that City would be the ones to equal it!

I have the sneaking suspicion that most, if not all, of Lloyd's supporters now that he has been unmasked have about the same moral compass as this QUEEN_OF_LOCKUP.
Exactly. He appeals to people who lack morals, as he helps "validate" their own life choices.
Normal people know that it's morally repugnant to feed the sex industry, particularly where trafficking is rampant. It's nothing todo with being prudish or religious, it's basic morality.
You can judge a person by their supporters, especially when they are so welcoming of that support.

City haven't been the biggest spenders - they've spent wisely and developed players. Many of the top stars didn't cost that much, compared to what other teams pay for players. Gundogan was 'only' 20m, Halaand was only 50m, Foden came through the youth academy. Other teams have spent significantly more and failed to deliver.
In fact, over the last 5 years ... we're only 10th in the list of highest spending teams. So sorry bitter-fan-of-whoever, you'll need to come up with something else.
https://www.football365.com/news/transfers-premier-league-five-year-net-spend-man-utd-man-city
On this table of net outlays, City are ranked 16th (I think the period it covers is slightly offset):
https://www.si.com/fannation/soccer/futbol/news/all-20-epl-clubs-ranked-by-net-transfer-spend-over-last-5-seasons
City have the highest operating income in the Forbes list of most valuable clubs (which doesn't yet factor in this treble winning season). Sort it by the last column (descending). Zero debt helps (compared to Man Utd). It's just a well run business.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forbes_list_of_the_most_valuable_football_clubs
The bottom line is: of course money and investment helps, but throwing money at a soccer club is a good way to lose money - you can't simply buy success. City have built and developed over time, creating something sustainable, by looking at a longer time horizon than just the current season. The success on the pitch is supported by the well-run business off the pitch, both sides helping each other.

Looks like an el-cheapo store of Chinese plastic crap.
And his priority isn't on his kids, it's taking a selfie using them as props to "virtue signal" and pretend he's a swell family man instead of the reality - someone that abandons them when he wants to visit hookers.

It's still City though, and even when they are at their absolute best at the back of your mind you're always thinking "how can they snatch defeat from the jaws of this certain victory?!"
Really great to see them dig deep and come through.
I met my wife at Maine Road ... not at a game, unfortunately, but a district convention.

I find it interesting that after the cult people still hold on to religion....
by BeaverEater inim not an atheist, makes no mathematical sense, nor does the buy(more) bull(shit) god make any logical sense... maybe a deist on my best day, in the end you cannot get something from nothing, paradox if you ask me... but in reality i just dont care.
while in, and moving out of the cult, its like a roller coaster, emotionally, yet, for me, over time, i just take it one day at a time, and if appeasing some special deity is required, well i guess i failed.
lol.

It's hard for people to let go of established life patterns and routine.
