i had forgotten how much drama it is to deal with an elder who refuses to answer a direct question.
this isn't even bible related yet still he refused to answer my question.
first a little background.. last week my daughter missed detention.
Overreact? No way!!!!!!
I would have removed her ASAP, even if Grandma was coming home. What would you have done if your daughter had some accident before Grandma came home? Or what if Grandma didn't come home as planned for some unseen occurance?
Document. Document. Document.
Attorney, Social Services, all of them. This week.
poor thing, she's had alzheimer's for about 10 years and the last year she's been on hospice care because she's been so close to death.
the past few months she's been slowly filling up with water -- they gave her lasix (not sure of the spelling) to relieve the edema and it worked, sort of.
last weekend she actually looked a little better.
So sad for you .......... your post made me cry. I dread the day I have to say good bye to one of my parents.
where i live, its not usual for people to "dress up," especially business people and executives, you are more likely to see them with a button up shirt, khakis, and one of those fleece vests on.
so, on the whole, jws look very out of place wearing their cheap suits (though a few elders didn't wear cheap suits and they made that known, "look at this, i got a spot on my new $200 designer shirt" -- really, something like this happened).
but what i did notice is that, in my area, dressing guidelines usually weren't followed, or enforced for that matter, for good looking women.
I remember a brother, unmarried, tried to 'counsel' me on some matter and I turned to him and "You are not my head. In fact, as an unmarried man, you are the head of no woman." I then reported his actions and mine to one of our elders and he agreed with me and agreed to speak with that brother.
Regarding dress in our area, it was always pretty lax. In Southern California, it obviously gets very hot. I wore sundresses to meetings and conventions. I wore skirts and dresses that were about an inch above the knee. I also had super long dresses I'd wear with boots. I think I really mixed it up. I never looked JWish. People at the door would even comment that I didn't look like a regular JW. I always had my nails done, nice hair-cut and nice clothes. I never got counseled for my dress habits as I always looked professional (I did wear my clothes to work).
i had people tell me they liked my t-shirt ideas and that it was okay to post my link 1 time if anyone wanted to get them.

i use cafepress because of the variety of items and there is no minimum to buy...their prices could be lower but i have had pretty good luck with their products so far.
Good job.

i was checking out upcoming topics on the dr phil website and there was a topic titled "family member belong to a cult".......i thought this might be good for someone who wants to go on tv and talk about the witnesses.. here is the link.......hope it works.. http://https://www.drphil.com/drphilplugger/templates/beontheshow.jhtml?action=respond&plugid=d139900005
I'll have to tape the show if it ever airs.
or anything similar???
the nearest i came was knocking myself out - my life actually did flash before my eyes.
it could only have been seconds before bumping my head and hitting the ground, but i flashed through scene after scene of life events, from childhood to adulthood.
This might account for some of the NDE experiences, but to me, it does not explain other important areas of it. Why do people who have the NDE, "meet" relatives who are already dead? You never hear of them seeing relatives that are still alive, but only those who have already passed on. Plus, people having these experiences have been able to give pretty accurate details of what was going on in the operating room when they were at death's door. People have recounted conversations that others have had when they're nowhere near the operating room.........it's a fasinating topic and I heard that at least one hospital was going to try an experiment. They are going to hide various objects in the room (like on top of a cabinet---somewhere where the person could not possibly see it). If someone has an NDE and they can accurately describe the object, it would go a long way in proving that something extraordinary is going on hereJW's would say that the demons tell people what it was like in the operating room. They firmly believe that there is no soul in the body rather the soul is the body, the life, the person.
a fart can be quiet, a fart can be loud, some leave a powerful ,poisonous cloud,,,,.
a fart can be short, or a fart can be long, some farts have been known to sound just like a song,,,,.
a fart can create a most curious medley, a fart can be harmless, or silent, but deadly,,,,.
