Thank you so much for the Xmas card and ornaments. What a lovely thing to get in the mail when all I get is bills!!!!!! I didn't have my glasses on so I couldn't see who had sent me something til I got in the house and saw the return address and opened the envelope. I was in suspense and happy to get a card in the mail! Thank you so much for keeping me on your christmas card list.

I wonder if the incidentals were in the $3000 estimate. If one has to put their stuff in storage or give their stuff to their kids anyway, what's the difference in living out of a suitcase? A cruise sounds much more fun!

well a couple of months ago, when i went to the assembly, seeing my sisters all skinny, and then going to bed bath & beyond and stepping on a scale....triggered me.
i felt so crappy.

I am sad you felt crappy but glad you are getting healthy and feeling good about. Glad you are doing it slowly and in a healthful way... a way that you can keep up for life instead of your sister's way thru binging and starving.
So funny you said you felt crappy. I got on the scale yesterday and again this morning........and yep the weight is up. I was already feeling crappy and wondering what was wrong. I have been eating differently for about 1 month.......grilled cheese sandwiches, tamales, rice and beans, etc. Need to switch back to vegetables and proteins. My version of Atkins.

he wanted to know where my daughter lived, what her married last name was now, how the family was doing, etc.
he asked her if she thought my not attending anymore had to do with the fact that i had a business and now i'm "materialistic".

What I never got was if both were Yeshua, why is one called Joshua and one is called Jesus. If they are the same name in Hebrew, wouldn't it follow that they have the same English translation??????

Strange disfellowshippings!
by AK - Jeff ina few years back a 'sister' in our hall was df'd for marrying a disfellowshipped man.
they were both free to remarry 'scripturally' - in their late-middle years of life.
i asked one of the local pharrasies why?

Now why in the world would they publicly reprove them??? Did they do it in the KH? In the mall? Public reproof is supposed to be for when others know about their sin and need to know that the matter has been handled. I feel sorry for them that the wedding turned out to be a sort of temporary shunning..........

i try to teach kids that it is the spirit of christmas that matters... then i saw this thing.
parents are actively trying to deceive their kids by offering them "proof" that santa is real.

I love that my sister believes in Santa Clause. She cannot wait for him to visit her house and leave presents. The next few years will be so much fun and magical for her and for me. My dad always said these are the best of times.
