  I'm not D/f or D/a and my dad wont even talk to me

  the last time i heard from my father, was last july , a few days before a special assembly day.

  he heard that we were not going to meeting anymore, which was stange since hubby was an elder last time he thought to check on me.

  i have always been the good daughter, the one who stayed in "the truth" , the one he was so proud of.

  you make a good point. I often feel guilty if I raise my voice at my parents, despite the fact that they are saying the most hurtful things to me. If it was anyone else I wouldn't have a problem telling them where to go!

  LyinEyes: I too was rejected by my biological father, but not via the borg. It hurts no matter if religion is involved or what. I advise you to tell him how you feel. After 20odd years of being upset about my abandonment by my dad, I finally phoned him up and told him how I felt. I told him and asked him WHY? He gave some answer, and he was sincerely hurt and realised his mistake. Only a few months later he died suddenly, and I was glad I'd managed to tell him. Even if he doesnt change, you will have said it.

  Someone did a small study of hospital patients. One group of patients were prayed for, one not. The patients didnt know.

  The patients who were prayed for appeared to improve more than those who were not. This research is not confirmed but is currently being replicated.

  I think that its more about positive energy than a God saying "it is granted"

  Do you still get Nightmares?

  do you still get nightmares?.

  because last night i had the crap scared out of me.. i cant remember what i had been dreaming about, but something shocked me and i opened my eyes and i saw a figure standing beside my bed.. my body when straight into fight mode.. now this is the weirest part for me.i shouted at the top of my voice , very loudly "what the f**k" yet it wasn't me speaking , my body sort of took over and said it .my eyes sort of adjusted and the figure disappeared and a i think at that point i became wide awake.. my wife was woken up by my shouting.. my heart was racing and my hair standing on end.. i have had a similiar experience once before but i didn't shout.. the fact that i woke up shouting, really freaked me out.. what the crap was going on in my head?

  Its taken me YEARS to stop being scared of demons. It still creeps up on me now and then. Most of the time everything is fine, but then I will have a nasty nightmare. Last night I dreamt I was in someone elses body, but that person was really mental! LOL! It was really scary though, because I just felt this tremendous anxiety. I woke up screaming so hard, but in my dream my voice wouldnt sound...

  the best nightmare I had was one where I decided to fight back. I looked at a vampire and said "do you know who you're messing with? I'm Buffy!" and proceeded to kick ass. LOL

  I need your prayers please

  i was at the hospital all day with my best friend, mattie.

  she had a biopsy on her colon this morning.

  they are looking for cancer, seeing they can't seem to find anything else causing her problem.

  I will say a prayer for you, Lilacs and Mattie.

  I really hope that the result is negative. One thing I learned from a book I read about cancer, is that Cancer does not mean Death. It is possible to recover and nowadays by far the majority do. I'm sure it will come back clear, but there is a tiny chance that it won't. In that case, be positive about the treatments and recovery.

  When I was told I had cancer, I suddenly thought I was going to die, but if I'd have looked at it realistically, I'd have realised that there are lots of treatments out there and that I'd be given the all-clear a couple of months later.

  I'm not saying that this is going to happen for Mattie, but I think that you need to prepare yourself just in case. I know that colon cancer is nasty, but I do know of people who have recovered and are now OK.

  I hope that this hasn't upset you, I just honestly wanted to help in some way.

  My thoughts are with you...

  Meet up in the UK this summer ?

  summer is nearly upon us and it would be great to arrange a 'get together' (wt speak) sometime so that some of us could meet up.

  i thought i'd give plenty warning so that we can arrange something and get suggestions for venue etc .... i was thinking of a nice hotel (with a pool if pos) and nearby to somewhere suitable for a family day out.. people could just go for the day or stop for a weekend as they preferred and we could do things as families during the day and then have a meal in the evening, have a few beers etc .... we're near manchester but don't mind travelling for a couple of hours or so (we have 2 small kids) - in fact, it would be nice to go somewhere like wales, the lake district, the peak district ... you get the idea (just away from the cobbled streets and slums).. if anyone has any ideas or suggestions then let us have them!.

  I know I always say this (and never seem to make it) but I'd like to come. I spoke to my boyfriend the other day and he said he would come along on the next thing that was arranged.

  We are also near Manchester, as you know. I think the lakes would be nice cause its only just over an hour away. Keswick or somewhere?
  We'd only come for the day though, we wouldn't stay over.

  May 4th is out for me, as is May 11th and the 22nd June. LOL! This is because of the Mensa and Pagan stuff!

  hello all... i came across this line of questioning many months on the inet so i decided that i would submit just this once to peer pressure and make a usefull contribution to the board.. here is the question... is jesus just "a god?".

  many of the regular inet surfers would have come across this line of questioning before so if you have you could just sit back and relax and read the replys.. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>.

  Ok I was wrong. Yahweh is not feminine. I was thinking of Elohim and the name for the Holy Spirit, which are both feminine.

  Sorry for the misinformation. I still think that God didn't necessarily have to be speaking to anyone when he said "let us make man in our image".

  Depressed Or British?

  I live in a nice house with a lovely pond and beautiful garden. :)

  Sun isn't everything, and as someone who has had skin cancer, I think I'd rather stay out of the sun and keep healthy. On the subject of weather, we don't have tornados, we don't get snowed in (hardly ever) and we don't have extremes of temperature. Winter is mild, summer is mild. In summer we often have a few weeks of sunny days, its not like its permanent rain. We have proper seasons. and another thing: we don't have lethal insects to be afraid of, or snakes, or skunks, and we don't have earthquakes. Oh, and our houses are not made of plastic and wood, they're made of good old brick!
  Plus, those houses that all look the same are homes to some great people with good community spirit.

  (Sticks chest out, stands up and sings the national anthem...which, by the way, is the only thing I dont like! lol)
