  i have had relatively high success in getting the local rag to run my letters in the opinion page.

  i hope this one is printed.. .

  to the editor; on october 25 the british press was awash with the story of young emma gough from tellford, uk.

  OK we have got dates:

  Friday 4th to Sunday 6th April 2008.

  PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP IF THESE DATES ARE OK.

  The main "fest" day is Saturday and we're open to suggestions for the venue for the evening. It should ideally be a nice restaurant large enough to accommodate us all. I will book in advance.

  We also think it would be great to do this http://www.mercattours.com/home.asp late in the evening. We can organise a private tour if there are more than 15 in attendance!

  Why the change in how the Watchtower deals with the Media?

  why the change in wtbts policy with regard to how they deal with the press?.

  not so many years ago the wt took the stance that it would not deal with the press except with direct statements, no questions to be asked.

  who doesn't remember the disasterous attempted interview with ted jaracz in the panorama pedophile coverup where he arrogantly dismissed the panorama reporter and he looked a total arse!?

  I missed the BBC news thing! How can I get to see it?

  He was pathetic on Radion 5 Live - a called asked "if a child needed blood, would you let them die?" and Paul Gilles replied something along the lines of "it isn't a question of no blood equals death....." so the caller said "well assume you used all of the alternatives but in the end the child needed blood would you let the child die?" and Paul didn't want to say YES he would let them die - even though everyone listening knew the answer is yes...... so he bluffed it and said he couldn't say that because its never as cut and dried as that....

  the watchtower bible and tract society (wtbts), a multi-million dollar publishing company, has a history of bizarre medical teachings and quack science - the blood teaching being only one.

  hello, just updating on my post from a few days ago... http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/145434/1.ashx i replied today then realised no one will see it because it's waaay back in the list of new topics :).

  well, i couldn't go through with talking to my boyfriend yesterday about all this.

  i felt like if i did it would ruin everything (which is pretty telling, i suppose!).

  When Jesus was asked what the 2 greatest commandments were he said "Love your God with you whole heart, mind and soul and strength' and "love your nieghbor as yourself" on these two the Laws and the Prophets hang. (Mark 12:29-31)

  So basically the entire bible hinges on these two things. And interpreting scripture is not one of them.

  That is great. This means that I'm doing all I need to do. I love my god(s) with all my heart and my neighbour as myself.

  My gods are not Yahweh or Jesus, but it doesn't appear to matter.

  i'm sure this has been asked a million times before but since leaving the witnesses what religion (or lack thereof) have you chosen for yourself?

  and what is it about that religion that attracted you?

  since leaving the witnesses i think i no longer believe in god, not out of anger, actually i think i like the idea of him more since i don't believe in him anymore.
