The end is so close now....

aren't they tiring out from saying this now?.

a jobo pimi-lite i know has a terminal illness (no names, no pack drill), was told, 'hold on, the end is so close.

the pimi-lite said they will need to hold on to their 'go bags(tm), then!.

I hear it all the time from my husband ....
Every time there's a flood, hurricane, or other natural disaster happening , I get told the end is near .....
Just yesterday he said it when I mentioned the Corona-virus out break in China

Do You See JWs Going From House to House Anymore?

i used to see them in my neighborhood or while driving.

there is a hispanic congregation nearby.

i used to see witnesses out all the time, some even doing the slow pioneer shuffle.

I live in South Africa and in my suburb you see them all over ....

And daily for that matter , either walking the streets irritating people knocking on doors or standing just outside malls with their carts .

i’m not interested in becoming a jehovah’s witness but have nothing against people who are, or whatever religion someone chooses to follow for that matter.

my fiancé stopped going to church prior to us meeting.

I married my husband who at the time was raised JW , but was very anti JW . Three years into our marriage he was pressured by his family to go back to been a JW , after 6 months of attending meetings & so called Bible study he was baptized .

He promised me faithfully that it would not change him & he would not pressure our 3 children/me into becoming JW's ...... What a lie !

They are pressurized at the kingdom Hall by their elders/families etc to convert their worldly families/Spouses .

They are so hypocritical about everything you do to the point that these men become narcissists & because they are taught that they are the head of your house and have the last say , it becomes an up hill battle daily .
My whole marriage has been turned upside down since he went back to this crazy Cult they call the True Religion.

So PLEASE make sure you have all the fact before you get yourself into this mess & heart ache .

i think they finally gave up on me..

My Husband keeps leaving one lying on the Dinning room table and everyday it makes it's way to the Bin

Then Yesterday he asked me if I'd like to attend with him .... Ummmm sorry what did you say ? and that's where it ended

i swapped my jw prison for an abusive marriage.

now i am free of both.

my husband targeted me as a jw and managed to isolate, manipulate and control me for 15 years.

So yesterday my JW husband took me out for lunch which was quite enjoyable , till he started with his JW nonsense again .......

I was asked if he could pack the kids & I a "TO GO BAG" ...... the only time I've ever heard of a "To Go Bag " is in countries or cities which experience natural disasters .....

So Obviously I asked WHY!!! #Rolledeyes and I was told that in case we need to move quickly, cause the end is near & I he doesn't want us stuck with out a to go bag ......
So my next question was ....... Why on earth would I need such a thing when I don't believe in any of this JW nonsense & of course cause I am a "WORLDY" person .... and according to them I'll be blown up to smithereens & I'd much rather be blown to pieces than be a JW ........

So then he calmly says ..... no I will be saved, as He prays daily for me & cause Jehovah will save those he can see are good people & have the potential to become good JW's , they just need a little more guidance .... By now I'm fuming and people are trying to eve's drop on the conversation ........ So I tell him, his basically contradicting himself cause one minute I'm a worldly person going to die in the big Bang & the next I'm going to be saved cause I'm a good worldly person ........... And then he adds that he just wants me to know that if his Organization gets banned like they have been in Russia etc and they come to jail him and others in the congregation , I mustn't feel that he is choosing his religion & beliefs over his wife & children ,his just standing up for Jehovah ,,,,,,,,,,

Needless to say that was the end of a lunch that started off so well ........

So I feel they do just pick and chose whats good for them as they need .......

i've been debating whether or not to post this story simply because the org knows who i am (post history from pre-'05 will tell you all you need to know), and i'm not sure if they would give my parents shit if they knew what transpired earlier this summer.

but you know what, i don't care what they do, because my mom is dying of stage iv cancer and i feel this needs to be heard by anyone struggling with the loss of contact from their relatives.. for those who are not familiar with my background, i became a small thorn in the side of the wts while i was still in.

i'm not big on being deceived, and for me, the org crossed my personal 'red line' when it came to blood and the child abuse issue.

Just a Rant .......

hi beautiful people ..... so today is my wedding anniversary ....... .

and first of all my dear husband forgot again .... which is normal according to my dear old dad "it's a man thing " .

but to add insult to injury , i must wait till friday to be taken out for dinner , because low & behold my jdub husband can't miss one bloody jw meeting !

Hi Beautiful people ....

So today is my Wedding Anniversary .......

And first of all my dear Husband forgot again .... which is normal according to my Dear old Dad "It's a Man Thing "

But to add insult to injury , I must wait till Friday to be taken out for Dinner , because low & behold my Jdub husband can't miss one bloody JW meeting ! Once again the Kids & I are put on the back burner , once again we are the after thought .....

I thought if Anniversaries where the one thing you are allowed to celebrate in the Borg , then why not do it properly .....

So I know this sounds petty , But I'll be spoiling myself & my 3 beautiful children with something special & my Jdub can go attend his meeting ......

What would make an Ex-Jw go back to been a full in Baptized JW

i was just wondering , why would my jw husband return to been a full blown baptized jw after 20 years of fading?.

he has spent 20 years of his life been a worldly person , with a worldly wife & kids & worldly friends .... to joining the borg full time , to getting baptized , to getting new brothers & sisters .... and to writing off most of his worldly friends (some his known his whole life ) , to trying to convince me & our children how wonderful this org is ......and anyone else who will listen :(.

has anyone ever experienced this ...... oh and he seems to be in it 110% and no-one can say anything about this crazy org or show him proof that it all bs...... his such a clever independent , successful guy , why on earth would he go back to this , after been out for so many years & change into this domineering , opinionated fool ..... oh and his entire family also went back ... father , mother , brother & sister .

I think you guys are right it must be to either please his Domineering Father(narcissist ) who is definitely the head of the family or because my husband turned 40 and was worried about what happens after he dies or not been able to live in paradise when Armageddon comes knocking ....... #rollseyes
As far as I know they left after his mother had a stroke from drinking excessively when he was in his late teens .... and according to him he left cause he couldn't stick to all the rules & regulations & pressure they put on him when he was a teenager ...... But yes as someone replied to my question , I think it's got a lot to do with family pressure & blood is thicker than water ..... But what about his non-believing wife & children is he not worried about what will happen to them & not seeing them in this so called paradise .......

The more I hear all the nonsense these people spew about their true religion , the more I am convinced my husband has been taken over by a cult ...... Luckily I'm a stubborn , very patient person & I will try get him back to thinking like a normal person one day & I am making sure him and his family don't brain wash my children into believing this nonsense .......
