New JW Bible nickname

i had a face to face conversation with an active jw today.

i was informed that they congregations don't like the new bible being referred to as the "gray bible", so some are starting to refer to it as the silver sword.. .

between two congregations that i know of four elders have stepped down in the last two months!

there is something really going on in this mandmade organization!

My experiance in 2012 when I returned to the ORG:

I was offered by the Elders, a Very Quick ReInstatement of All my 'Titles' and 'Privledges'- Dispite the Little Fact that I had been Completely Inactive for over 16 YEARS! There is a Desperation for Qualified Willing Males- I was Shocked and Put Off that they would Fast Track my privilages-

In 6 weeks I was Approved for Field Service.

In 13 weeks I was Completely OUT For Good.

What's with all the JWs unleashing the hate!?

most of us here on jwn, while we can get a bit narky at times, can put forth intelligent arguments and sound observations.

sure we can get bogged down with our opinions, but generally we back up our opinions with examples and evidence, and if someone has a different opinion with examples and evidence, we accept that without recriminations.

that's what adults do.. so my question is, why in the last week or so, have a couple of posters claiming to be jws come onto this forum and berated, spewed hate and judgement, and in some cases verbally attacked members personally?

Haters got to Hate-

"Pure War Ship" that brings back the sickening jw puking feeling- You cant call yourself a title and expect others to just accept you for your self proclaimed title-

But Anyway- These jw's get off on being Obnoxious- it is a release- the only one they have. And there is a lot of internal stress and unease when you do not have the Peace of God- I remember the day I put away 'THEir 'truth' and THE Truth found Me-

The Only tool of the Dis-Honest is Hate- Thats why 'jw's' wont reason with you only against you- When Lies don't work they use their only tool- Hate.

The honest God Fearing Members are quickly Overworked/Shamed/Confess and are Shunned- Leaving the more Ruthless to become worse- The Congregation Shrinks and Becomes more Competitive.

This is Good- The Honest are"Called Out" by such means-

The only organizations who ever called me by my last name alone, were the jw's and the Army. I was just a 'Number' in both places-

And both groups gave me a fancy Welcoming IN- and then nothing on the way out-

There are many more parallels between them.

in a minimus moment, i find myself interested in knowing which buzz-words and phrases in jw publications stand out the most to you?

when i read wt literature, i constantly find myself astounded by how transparently cultish the language is.

Every time this thought provoking phrase was mentioned I would think, -Yes I AM leading a 'Double Life'- EVERY time I sit in a Kingdumb Hall!!

Sitting Still at Meetings has Become an Impossibility

since i know the truth about jw, and still have to go to meetings for family reasons (and because i don't want to leave my friends, either) i get so sick in my chair in the hall.

i can't pay attention, i can't sit still knowing it's all such a waste of time and a big fat lie.

i get weird symptoms like: the feeling that i'm going to almost pass out, very sweaty or very cold, and weak legs though i'm sitting down, and the urge to get up and run away.

Your taking the meetings personaly- its affecting your health. Maybe it would help you to think of yourself as a SPY. Then you wouldn't be attending-You would be someone else and be at work.

However dont hang around there to much longer and get cought up in her plagues! Make a Clean Quiet Break from 'IT' when you can- Knowing the real Jesus in your life will make up many times over for any 'loss'.

The way I survived the painful drivel and farticles for many years was to have paper and pen ready, pay close attention and keep accurate records consisting of;

How many different books have been published by the watchtower society?

i know there has been a lot, but does anyone actually have any idea?

to make it easier, lets omit books published before say 1960. that gives 50 years worth of books.

i wonder how many books it takes to teach the word of god door to door, and how many just find new ways to say the same things?

On the wikipedia list of jw publications there are about 45 subheadings just to list the types of books! As far as number of different titles- Who will ever know! I can however tell you how many books and magazines it takes to fill a large trashcan!

I do know that God only wrote 1 book!

6000 years 1 book, around 1,547 pages, 774,746 words.

Soloman says in Ecc 12:11

11 The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one shepherd. [b] 12 Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.

Of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body.

13 Now all has been heard;
here is the conclusion of the matter:
Fear God and keep his commandments,
for this is the duty of all mankind.

Faith is simple many books are not needed- Soloman says much knowledge brings much sorrow.
