I would see if the agency that oversees your state's insurance companies has a price comparison chart posted on the web. I recently found that Texas provides a price comparison of all the companies selling auto insurance, so they probably do for homeowner's too.
Other than that, don't try to save money by purchasing an "ACV" policy instead of an "RCV" policy. Or if you do, at least know exactly what you are purchasing, and why.

I always felt bad for her having to deal with her louse of a husband... and then cancer.
Actually, if I have this right, she found out she had cancer before she found out what a louse her husband is. Small difference I know, but it makes her ordeal just that much more poignant.

wow, was this a re-run? Stillconcerned (the lawyer who used to post on this forum and who has battled the WT in child abuse cases) asked me to give the forum a heads-up that they were going to do a show on this guy several years ago. It's been at least 4.5 years since she told me the show had been taped and was going to be shown on AMW. However, for whatever reasons they did not run his story back then.
I wonder if the show you saw last night had current info on his case?
Amazing that this schmuck hasn't been caught.
