I'm starting to *like* pantyhose again :o
by rebel8 ini haven't worn pantyhose for ~20 years, except for the odd special occasion in winter.
field service really ruined me for pantyhose.
sitting on those hot sweaty vinyl seats, getting up every so often to go out in the steaming heat....and freezing my jewels off in the winter...omg...i hated hose!!

This reminds me: I saw a woman at Home Depot today - cute, good bod in a fashionable cotten shirt-dress, with very well made bare legs ending in running shoed feet (a little odd, but it worked).
When you got a little closer, you noticed her bare legs weren't so bare - they had at least a few weeks worth of hair. We're not talking about just going a day or two longer w/o shaving here; we're talking about a lifestyle statement. I must be really really needing it, because instead of saying to myself "YIKES!", I said to myself "hmmm, I wonder what that feels like?", lol. (ok, truthfully, I did say "yikes!" first).

Whence some Archduke gets shot and before you know it I'm a six year old out selling magazines in the sweltering heat with my father who was only six years old himself when the Archduke caught it(!) And to think I knew why the Archduke was killed (for all these things to occur) when all the other kids only knew they didn't know.

Is there an unexpected upside to this economic downturn ?
by pedal power ini remember studying the incidence of disease and illness in the 20th century whilst investigating hypoglycemia , basically during ww1 and ww2 the health of the british people greatly increased , i mean all illnesses decreased.
sugar consumption decreased massively, the coperate bodies of the big sugar users, cok-, mc donal--, hein- ect went ballistic, the investigation was pulled, as these multinationals, threatend pull outs, the govt backed down the report was suppressed, with what result ?
diabetes has doubled, coincidence ?.

Fortunately there is the scientific method. For everything else, there's Mastercard. Like when you know you don't know what has hurt her feelings, but you know that that "unknown" is likely you and something she knows you should have known.
The UnknownAs we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don't know
We don't know.Donald Rumsfeld —Feb. 12, 2002, Department of Defense news briefing

A prophet is never appreciated in his home discussion board. But around the neighborhood I am known as a healer and a teacher and a " tròn mat" or "du ma Yankee lon".

I buy the fish whole and on Easter we let them thaw and then hide the catfish around the yard an in the house (under a stump, in the chair cushions; that sort of thing). We then invite the Vietnamese kids in the neighborhood over for a Catfish "noodling hunt". It's a great way to get the kids introduced to proper Christian culture (Easter and catfish noodling) using something they are already familiar with (smelly fish). Then we play dominoes and I usually get drunk and angry and topple their suits and make them go home to their commie parents.
