What Made You Question "The Truth"?
by minimus inin the the early 1970's, i used to enjoy going to assemblies, conventions and hear special talks given by bethel heavies.. in those days, we were believers and we applied ourselves as "ministers" with pride.. once the "end" was obviously not within our "generation", many of us started losing interest.. we started to think more critically.
it took a long time but once you start recognizing the bullsh*t, it's hard to stay in and truly believe at the same time.. .

Many many things but when I worked for an elder who I found out was embezzling money from our employer and come to find out for years even before he was apointed an elder I smelled bull shit. I love it all!!!! Christmas for me is my favorite. I love the tree and all the decorations put up by me and my wife. I remember when I was on my way out I asked a brother about his pagan wedding ring. He said oh no it is OK caus we don't think of them as being pagan. I had two at my home the other day(JW Preachers) I have been out for a long time so they had no idea I was formally a witness. I have always found the best approach to witness to the witnesses is One proclaim that your a christian and you had been reading online about some of their beliefs. I start out by saying that many things you believed before you no longer believe just like the mormons. You started out about the same time and the mormons have more followers than you and dont believe the trinity or smoke or drink alcohol and are great people and are lead by a governing body of 12 people. Ask do you believe they are inspired by God? Then ask well they (mormons) claim to have the truth? Now from there it is them agaist mormons not you and you can take it in any direction you want. I like to explain that Russel learned from 7th day adventist who in turn learned from Millerites. Now they know nothing of the millerites and then it gets really fun to talk about there time prophecies and how Russel and the 7th dayers copy it from them. Silence watch there faces drop.

Thank you DaCheech. I left many years ago at 22. When I left there was no internet and I lost everyfriend I knew my mom and three sisters all my friends. Oh and my boss was a JW so was fired due to "down sizing". Lets just say I am sooo glad I left when I did. Was still able to build a life for myself. Somwhow as a born in this cult never leaves you and when one of my sisters finally left it brought back everything in talking to her and it made me want to see what I have been missing all these years. Needless to say nothing as far as the watchtoilette is concerned. Same lies different day. No wonder so many are leaving my god I had to go to a christian book store to find the TTATT not just click a mouse.

Yeah my step father. Drove at truck all his life didn't know much about anything but following driving directions and whatever the watchtower said. Was about as well read as a third grader. He did like to yell at the TV during sports

There logic never makes any sence. Why would not any religion be the truth if they can just say sorry and move on no matter what they teached before and say we are only human? It means it doesn't matter what you believe it can all be changed. So there whole belief system is just to follow imperfect men right or wrong.
