I see there is a special meeting held by the GB at Bethel a week before the Annual Meeting.
Wonder what that will be about?

the new young blood gb member, you think he really thinks this is the truth or is he protecting his financial interest like all the older gb members who enjoy basking in glory of men?
do you think they believe in the "over-lapping generation" or was that a mistake done by barr?.
how much of the watchtower and the bible do the governing body know, ray franz jr. said he was not impressed with their bible knowledge and their lack of knowledge of the watchtower cannon.
I have to disagree...
These men believe 100% in a concept...that concept is that they are God's channel of communication on earth. No matter how weird and wacky things get they firmly believe what they teach is inspired because deep down they believe they are chosen and will be in heaven.
A concept like that firmly planted in their minds and hearts means any thinking process as to what they produce in terms of doctrines etc is always right at the time and Jehoover will let more line accordingly.
They are not, on purpose, leading people in astray knowing that they are wrong. They just believe 100% that they are chosen and thus they cannot ever be wrong.
Read Don Cameron's book Captives to a Concept..it explains it so nicely just how that once concept means they are so blind.
as well as providing new archaeological information, the book "the ark before noah: decoding the story of the flood" by irving finkel (published 2014) provides material for those of us who are interested in the neo-babylonian period.
for example, one subheading is: "why were the judeans in babylon?
" (page 226).. dr irving finkel is assistant keeper of ancient mesopotamian script, languages, and cultures at the british museum.
Thanks...I'll watch it on 4od

I missed this but I was under the impression that this program supported that the ark existed?
my question is since it looks as though mammoths were alive after the flood and we know elephants are then how much food was needed to feed just these four animals for the time they were on the ark.
also was the ark, 500 feet long, big enough to hold the amount of food needed for just these 4 animals.. .

Billy the Ex Bethelite did a cracking one on the Tower of Babel that I saved:

in this article gerrit talks about his father in the first and last paragraphs, what he says about him and his hope for him goes against all that witnesses have preached about the worldly for the last 100 years... as i recall aren't all the worldly supposed to be destroyed and never have a hope of everlasting life like jw's are, and isn't that the purpose of the preaching work to baptize and warn the worldly of this???
if not why do jws even preach, or even become jws in the first place if all have a hope of everlasting life, jw and non-jw, are they releasing a little hint at new light to come???
or am i just missing or over analyzing something?.
I am a bit confused at ADJUSTMENTS post though.
The society teach that anyone destroyed at the Big A, or in the flood, or by any execution at the hands of Jehovah will NOT get a resurrection.
But anyone who dies before they get the truth will get a resurrection, like I presume this GB's father.
Thus millions who have never heard of Jehoover will still get a chance to live forever...
I get the impression that ADJUSTMENTS seems to think that is not the teaching of the WT?
Only those who die at the hands of Jehovah don't get resurrected...all the rest who die by other means get a second chance...thus yes all those who die at the Big A are dead forever but all those who died before the Big A get another chance....
Still batshit crazy mind you.

- it's amazing to track the confusion and stupidity contained in wt articles.
- in only one watchtower you can find multiple contradictory statements, and representations of truth that are simply lies made up on the fly.
- as an example the nov,15 2014 wt has the following quotes : -.
So the Nov 15th 2014 WT is correct, from the JW's point of view, IF there are indeed TWO 1,260 day prophecies...as Knorr is being obedient to one of them...pity.

So can we summarize?
The Nov 15th 2014 WT says that the 1,260 days is from 1914 to 1919...the 1,260 days also being the symbolic 3 and a half days in Revelation.
Brother Knorr, anointed, took a stance that some brother disagreed with him, and he believed that the 1,260 days was from 1919 to 1922.
The Nov 15th WT uses Knorr as an example of being obedient...to a wrong teaching.
Is that about it?
