Fcuk me 10 hours to be a pioneer...you can do that on the cart nowadays...that means no more publishers as they can all be pioneers! Gog not Satan...so that lie I believed for 16 years, who was the author of it? The GB? Or Jehoover? Because one of them got it wrong...if Jehoover taught the wrong teaching he can go and fcuk himself...if the GB was the author of wrong teachings then how can anyone trust them "even from a human standpoint".
What a heap of utter shite this cult has become.

What does the building of Warwick HQ have to do with the Society's expectation of the end?
by Apognophos inthis topic is a couple years late, but i just wanted to get this off my chest.
i don't understand why people say that the society starting a project that won't finish until 2017 means that the end can't come until then, or that they don't expect the end before then.
this isn't a very logical line of thought.

I was always under the impression when I was in that God's buildings, dedicated to Him by the dubs were going to be protected. This is based on Jerusalem and its temple being destroyed because Jehoovers people were the ones being punished but at the Big A its Jehoovers people being saved therefore their buildings, or at least the ones dedicated to Jehoover would be protected.
Hence they can rationalise that it's worth building these premesis prior to the Big A...convenient eh?

I love the explaination the society gives in the Insight book that Apognophos posted.
*** it-1 pp. 164-165 Ark ***
The “kinds” of animals selected had reference to the clear-cut and unalterable boundaries or limits set by the Creator, within which boundaries creatures are capable of breeding “according to their kinds.” It has been estimated by some that the hundreds of thousands of species of animals today could be reduced to a comparatively few family “kinds”—the horse kind and the cow kind, to mention but two. The breeding boundaries according to “kind” established by Jehovah were not and could not be crossed. With this in mind some investigators have said that, had there been as few as 43 “kinds” of mammals, 74 “kinds” of birds, and 10 “kinds” of reptiles in the ark, they could have produced the variety of species known today. Others have been more liberal in estimating that 72 “kinds” of quadrupeds and less than 200 bird “kinds” were all that were required. That the great variety of animal life known today could have come from inbreeding within so few “kinds” following the Flood is proved by the endless variety of humankind—short, tall, fat, thin, with countless variations in the color of hair, eyes, and skin—all of whom sprang from the one family of Noah.*******
As many have mentioned in the past, who are these investigators? I have written to the society asking for that info and had no reply...I can find no proof on the internet to back this claim up from any scientist or report, the only mentions I get are from creationist websites...which ain't proof!

A Challenge to Apoligists - Why Would a Heavenly Father Kill a Newborn?
by berrygerry inas a father, made in god's love, that has troubled me for a very long time, is that god, as described by the wts, is soon, going to slaughter every, roughly, 7.9 billion people on the planet, because they have figured out a way to come know him as a father according to the wts.. .
as a father, dear apologist, why would you kill/murder a one-day old baby?.

Yes I remember this when I first joined...my family, none who are in, had children and I asked what happens to the kids if the Big a starts?
I got told by an elder that the pattern in times past in the bible is that the kids were the responibility of the parents and if the parents perish the kids go to...in Noah's day, Soddom & Gomorrah etc.
So fear not, the loving Jehoover will destroy all adults AND children at the Big A...which is coming soon don't you know? I mean, it is nearly 100 years since the Great Jebus was installed as king and he has been ever so busy*...

Do the Governing Body believe their own teachings or know it's a lie? Are they atheists?
by BucketShopBill inthe new young blood gb member, you think he really thinks this is the truth or is he protecting his financial interest like all the older gb members who enjoy basking in glory of men?
do you think they believe in the "over-lapping generation" or was that a mistake done by barr?.
how much of the watchtower and the bible do the governing body know, ray franz jr. said he was not impressed with their bible knowledge and their lack of knowledge of the watchtower cannon.

I have to disagree...
These men believe 100% in a concept...that concept is that they are God's channel of communication on earth. No matter how weird and wacky things get they firmly believe what they teach is inspired because deep down they believe they are chosen and will be in heaven.
A concept like that firmly planted in their minds and hearts means any thinking process as to what they produce in terms of doctrines etc is always right at the time and Jehoover will let more line accordingly.
They are not, on purpose, leading people in astray knowing that they are wrong. They just believe 100% that they are chosen and thus they cannot ever be wrong.
Read Don Cameron's book Captives to a Concept..it explains it so nicely just how that once concept means they are so blind.

"The Ark Before Noah"
by Doug Mason inas well as providing new archaeological information, the book "the ark before noah: decoding the story of the flood" by irving finkel (published 2014) provides material for those of us who are interested in the neo-babylonian period.
for example, one subheading is: "why were the judeans in babylon?
" (page 226).. dr irving finkel is assistant keeper of ancient mesopotamian script, languages, and cultures at the british museum.
