  with all the talk about the org's policies and failures regarding child sexual abuse being publically exposed in australia, i thought that it may be a good time to highlight this... i apologise if this has already been discussed, but on the 9th of july the independent inquiry into child sexual abuse in england and wales was opened.

  here is some information regarding it's aims.. "about the inquiry.

  the inquiry offers an unprecedented opportunity to examine the extent to which institutions and organisations in england and wales have taken seriously their responsibility to protect children.. the inquiry will investigate a wide range of institutions including:.

  after reading the answers of geoffrey jackson before the rc, answers like "it is not my field", we may infer that it is possible that this guy is just a puppet in the governing body.

  for instance, raymond franz reported in his books that some of the members of the gb of his time were simply followers of what fred franz thought.

  so, during a decision, if freddy said some thing, many of the members would vote following him.

  after listening to the hearings of the australian royal commission into institutional responses to child sexual abuse, i am no longer content to have simply walked away from the organization.

  as a matter of conscience, i do not want my name linked with the organization in any way.

  i know this letter has been posted previously, and i thank the author.

  Nope, elders are instructed to "call the branch" (Bethel) if any sort of legal action is threatened. In most cases, the threat of legal action defers or even indefinitely postpones any "no longer a JW" announcement.
  It has worked many many times before.

  Has it really???? First I've heard of it.

  Because of this...

  but has anyone ever challenged/tested the Org's practice of announcing that "so-and-so is no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses" via International Human Rights Law.

  As far as I am aware no-one has thus they see it as they are free to announce whatever.

  Enjoy your freedom, it's an amazing feeling!!!!
